That's because what you experienced is considered *working as intended* . However, be sure to start following the 'Dev Tracker' over the coming weeks, just in case BioWare offers up some type of re-do token (probably for Cartel-coins) in preparation for 7.2 update soon. Short of creating a new character, you can choose assassin for your other combat style on that character. When you first made your character, you should have got a quest right at the beginning to pick an additional combat style. You can pick Inquisitor/Assassin in that quest.
