Old packs/hypercrates available on CM

Hello there,

Would it be possible to make old packs/hypercrates available on CM?

I remember few years ago, there was a huge sellout on CM and every pack ever released was listed there for a short time.

An alternative could be to add every pack/hypercrate into rotation whereby each week a different would be available for purchase on CM.

Thank you :3

The old hypercrates are pretty pointless with the new hypercrates which draw from everything and award full sets instead of partial sets. The old hypercrates gave so many duplicates and 1/3rd of a set they weren't worth it for most people. I think all the items in the old hypercrates can still drop in the current hypercrate.

The new system draws from every old crate which makes getting the specific items you're trying to get very, very, very f#%$cking hard to get.

If the old crates came back, even on a weekly or monthly rotation schedule, it would be easier to get the specific items that you want which are specific to that crate.

Ahh ok thank you, didn't know the new crates drop everything.

But then as previously said the overall chance will lower for a certain item to drop from new crate than the old crate?

Much lower, because *all* the items are there, from *all* the old packs, and from all the direct-buy-only stuff as well.

The old crates also do not drop full sets. The sets were all broken up into Lower Body Armor boxes (containing Legs and Boots), Supplementary Body Armor boxes (Headgear, Belt, and Bracers), and Upper Body Armor boxes (Chest and Gloves)

The old hypercrates were also heavily weighed for bronze and silver. Players would end up with 4-5 copies of the lower body armor boxes and supplementary but find no upper body sets. It was odd watching this on the GTN people were desperately looking for chests while there were multiple lower body and supplementary available.

Back then people were basically dumping all the bronze and silver on the GTN because there were so many copies no one needed. It was not uncommon to hear people opening 3 hypercrates and not finding the one platinum item in those hypercrates.

Unless Bioware reworked the old hypercrates to drop full sets (and they probably won't because there were not many new items in the old hypercrates), you end up with a ton of garbage no one wants and may not even find what you are looking for. At least the new hypercrates drop full sets and you won't end up with four or five boxes of supplementary body armor boxes with no upper body armor boxes.

The old boxes were - awful. I, for one, am happy to see them gone. I would love to see more of the old sets and items available for direct purchase though, for sure.

So a possible solution would be to implement the gear set from new hypercrates into the old ones.

As people already mentioned previously, the chance for a certain item to drop from new hypercrate is smaller than if it would drop from an old one with less items from the pool.

The point here is not to put new stuff in old crates, but rather just make the sets/items from the old crates available for purchase on the CM which would in turn make them available in the Ultimate Crates for those who enjoy the gambling. Given legislation in many place now it is clear they are moving away from the loot crates anyways so they can stay compliant globally - which is a smart business decision.

Actually, no.  They are available in the Ultimate packs whether or not they are available for direct purchase.  The Ultimate packs have *everything*.
