Kheldyn Posted August 27, 2022 Share Posted August 27, 2022 I play a Shield Specialist Powertech, with what i thought were better than decent stats, but after pugging a couple of operation I was told i needed to up my stat numbers. Currently here is what have as stats (in 328 purple pvp gear), with 334 implants, purple 286 augments, Mastery 15382 Endurance 23000 Power 2018 Critical 0 Alacrity 0 Accuracy 0 Defense 6773 Absorb 2101 Shield 5548 Are these numbers good, or should they be higher for veteran and master mode operations? AdjeYo Posted August 27, 2022 Share Posted August 27, 2022 (edited) Shield and Absorb seem a tad low. What relics are you using? In PvE for tanks it's usually agreed that the best relics to use are Shield Matrix and/or Avoidance, which give a bunch of shield and absorb respectively. You also should take an avoidance relic > reactive warding. Furthermore there is no real reason not to be 330? Swtorista made a gearing guide, I don't think a team would trial you below 330 at this moment. Furthermore, I assume you play supercommando and squad leader - you should change that squad leader to a shock trooper implant, yes it has alacrity on it. Yes it is still worth it. Not that it's a bad choice, but it's hardly the only choice, endurance crystals work just fine. You either get a minimal dps increase, or a minimal health increase. Neither is likely to make any measurable difference. The Shock Trooper suggestion is definitely a good one. Though if he's starting out, there's something to be said for keeping a tank implant until he's more comfortable. While Squad Leader's set bonus is pretty bad, the tank stats allow for a little more leeway when learning. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Kheldyn Posted August 28, 2022 Author Share Posted August 28, 2022 Thank you, I'll see about getting the Shocktrooper implant ASAP, I'm currently working on getting the 330 mods using Swtorista's guide, which i've found very handy (also found out that it works for getting relics, not just the ear piece), and i've tried using the Critical crystals in the past, i found it more useful in pvp, but not in pve so much.
