Yes, there are seven pieces all equipped on the same character..the first 4 pieces, which I aquired a month or 2 ago have never shown up..the last 3 pieces, which I aquired yesterday they all show up as equipped. Do I report it as a bug?

Sounds like a bug. Unless there is an alternative source for them. (I'm thinking here of the vendors in the Cartel Bazaar part of the Fleet - they sell gear with the same names, looks, etc. as the Cartel Market items (for Cartel Market Certificates and credits), but they are different items, and the vendor stuff doesn't count towards unlocking the CM sets.)

Did any of the pieces possibly come from the old Dark vs light packs?

Danm me, but I never thought of that. Good spot.

EDIT: however, https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/dark-vs-light-packs/ says that they do unlock in Collections, but https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=887047 says they do not, as does https://vulkk.com/2016/06/29/swtor-dark-vs-light-cartel-packs-items-not-unlock-collections/

So yeah, good spot.

That could be why my set (forget the name) isn't unlocking. Is there a way around it, or is it a wash?

If you have pieces from the DvL packs, it's a wash. If you can source the from-DvL pieces from the GTN (they will be actual CM pieces if they are on the GTN) or somewhere else, you can work around the problem.

That's essentially the only way that doesn't rely on abasing yourself before the Mistress of Pain(1) to get a good result from a CM pack.(2)

(1) Followers of the Discworld might know Her as "The Lady". The typical heretic who posts here calls Her "RNGesus" or "the gods of RNG". The problem there is that She is singular, and a goddess, and is not called RNGesus. She is the Mistress of Pain.

(2) Don't bother. The chances of something good showing up are close enough to zero that they might as well be zero.
