fragnot
Ive starting to feel like this is WoW in Starwars universe. Its mediocre fun atm, i dont deny that. But i just dont see it survive in the long run. Where is the "special" stuff ? ive been 50 for a week now, all i do is dailies, pvp, hard modes and eventually ops. I hope they will bring in some "sandbox" opportunities in the future.
geogenetic
So you rushed through the game and aren't having fun. Try going back and experiencing the awesome story that you missed by spamming the spacebar. That's one huge thing that this game does differently and you missed it. Great job! fragnot
This is a MMORPG, not a single player game. The story is nice, no doubt about that. But it wont keep customers in the shop just because of that.

kentk
Stop speaking for everyone. I love the story line. I listen to every voice over and it's really been fun. It's even a different experience on other characters. This IS an MMORPG, I'm not sure what part of that you don't get. They have 8-16 person raids, 4 player flashpoints, and PvP warzones. They never EVER said they were making some ground breaking stuff here. People like to assume that going into it. Bioware clearly stated what the goal was going into this game. Not our fault you failed to see it.

If you're looking for sandbox elements you'll be disappointed long term. This isn't SWG. There's a lot to do at 50, it's just not to everyone's taste, and that comes with the territory i'm afraid. Naroga
You've been level 50 for a WEEK? Holy hell man... I've been averaging about 4 hours of game-play a night since the 16th and I'm only level 39... Did you spacebar through every single conversation? Did you pull all-nighters, not registering the content you were playing through? I'd be bored too if I couldn't remember the game I just played... These people make one toon, space bar their way to level 50 and thenh complain about lack of content!!! Can you say I R O N Y!!!! I play about 4 hours a night at the moment, though that will probably have to reduce radically when the holidays are over and I go back to work. I currently have 4 toons on the go, one for each base class in the republic. One is L22, one is L13 and the other 2 are still sitting at L1. I've been playing for 2 weeks now and I could not be happier. Has the OP tried playing a different class, or faction. There are 8 base starter points and from each of them a further 16 advance classes. If you have only played 1 class to the end, then you have only played about 1/10th of the game, maybe a little more, but still... This game was designed to be played from L1 with an ultimate goal of L50. If you did that in a week and have only done 1 class, then of course you will feel like there is no content, because you bypassed 90% of it! Asheby
Sorry, but MMOs are RPGs. If you have been 50 for a week, you must've only created one character and rushed through content. I haven't reached level 50 yet, but what you describe sounds like the norm for end game. I happen to actually enjoy the story lines in SWTOR, which I really haven't in other MMOs, or not for awhile. Sorry if the end game isn't what you though it would be. Overall, I am pleased with the product and perhaps by the time I have gotten to 50 (and probably a couple of alts to 25ish) the end game will have been spiffed up a bit or if not, I will have gotten my money's worth exploring the Star Wars Universe in a RPG. Right now most of the player base isn't level 50-and there isn't really any new end game content from other MMOs atm......so from a business perspective it makes sense to smooth out and improve other aspects of the game before dedicating resources to end game content. Right now leveling in SWTOR>is end game raiding in WoW for fun. I am not sure what you are basing your expectations on-clearing new raid 1st week it is out isn't my idea of good end game content...so my own benchmark is set rather low for end game expectations. BUT, I am thoroughly pleased with the variety of quest lines and have been really enjoying the plots-if end game is engaging, its a bonus. CyberData
You're wasting your breath. You will get swarmed by the brown nosery on this forum who use emotion over logic to make their point What's "logical" about having no life to the point where you're spending an inordinate amount of time maxing out @ Lv 50 in 10 days and then crying about it? Logic, would tell you that no MMO launches and has its endgame fully fleshed out and bug free in 10 days after launch. Period.

fragnot
Well, im still crossing my fingers that they will implement "something" more that WoW.. Be it player housing, villages or whatever. More open areas, somekind of "discovery" system, hidden secret caves or whatever. I dunno. JUST SOMETHING =)
Xploits
Conisdering no MMO launches with end game content, and most of Blizzards expansions don't release raid environments (Unless you call the first instance a Raid). I think even said Raid content was coming after release, so I don't know why you were expecting something different. I suppose you can follow the WOW routine. Login for your raid day, logout, play another game until you can raid again. (A lot going on there)

Blame yourself for rushing through this game though. Perhaps go outside once in a while.
Muadibby
When you have an MMO of this size you have to play it safe in order to make sure you have a solid foundation and the core game functions and gives you something to build off. How can you judge any game at 10 days after launch? All the good stuff gets added later and you have to balance the classes and gear after fixing the bugs. Once you have a solid player base then you can start taking chances and risks because the suits will be off your back. Be patient. New content will be coming very soon. Lets see where we are after 30-60 days. WoW was down about half of the time the first 30 days and there was no endgame or anywhere near these number of instances. Lets hear some more suggestions for stuff to add rather than everyone QQing already.

Be it player housing, villages or whatever. More open areas, somekind of "discovery" system, hidden secret caves or whatever. I dunno. JUST SOMETHING =) Hmm this got me thinking. If player housing in TOR is your ship, maybe villages could be a common landing pad where you can see other people and there ship and go in a visit. If they have an open door policy for access. Once they let us customize our interior it could be fun. Guilds could buy an entire landing pad for their group and hire vendors and guards, etc. As far as exploring there are hidden holocrons and elites and areas that are hard to get to now. This will be expanded on in the future I'm sure. Discovery is what the Codex is right or am I missing your point. I would like to see a more open world at end game and more things to do, you just have to give it time. Edited December 30, 2011 by Rialth
