jbrdude
Since I started keeping track of my BM bags drops, I've recorded only at 1 item out of 11 bag attempts. I'm wondering if I'm unlucky or that if indeed the drop rate is 10%ish for BM bags instead of 33%ish to 50%ish for Champ bags. Do any other BM's have any stats they can share on BM drop rates? Zeromentor
33% for champ bags? God I wish that's how it worked for me... 1 implant and nothing but coms from 6 bags...
jbrdude
Where are you even getting your numbers? Oh you made them up. I'm getting my BM numbers from my experience. I'm getting my Champ numbers from my experience. I don't follow you. I've got full Champ gear and a few BM items. I noticed my BM items dropped significantly less than my Champ items, thus I started tracking. Since I started tracking BM items, I am 1 out of 11. cncgod
I am 5 for 32 on champ bags so far, I really hate the random system. If you ran 30% you are one lucky sob. Edited December 30, 2011 by cncgod
Eepo
The rng system is so *********** broken. 16 champion bags, one item. I'm this close to screwing the game and playing something else. I have srsly the worst luck ever in anything random that you couldn't believe it. Its so much fun losing to people in pvp because THEY HAVE BETTER LUCK WITH SOME RANDOM LOOT BAGS. YEAH IM MAD SO WHAT. YOU'D BE ASWELL IF YOU HAD OPENED 15 OUT OF 16 BAGS TO FIND NOTHING. 30% my ***, more like 5% Edited December 30, 2011 by Eepo
Scelerant
Considering that I've opened 11 bags and only have 1 piece of Champion, I'm getting somewhat annoyed. Why not just give me the option of paying 1000 commendations per piece instead? Edited December 30, 2011 by Scelerant

Why not just give me the option of paying 1000 commendations per piece instead? I agree. It's so disheartening to never get an item while my guildy nearly has a full set.. and gets literally 4 pieces in a row. Our luck just sucks, I guess. Endual
Yo guys. This games been out for a week. I'm max level, but I don't have all the best pvp gear in the game yet. This game broke?
theMornox
you can directly buy non set gear for 200/200 commendations at the champ vendor. however for the sets it appears to stay a luck thing. first 10 champ bags gave me 2 times the weapon (...) and 1 non set piece, then i got 3 cahmp bags with relic, chest and pants. i am just wondering how this rng is calculated since it feels like having luck spikes

That's not the point, the point is that people who have been 50 a shorter time than I and have farmed PvP less have more champion items due to luck with the RNG. It's not about not having the best gear, it's about other people having the best gear for less effort due to luck.

I'm not going to say I like an RNG pvp system, its not what I'm used to and it can certainly be frustrating. That being said; how is this any different from pve? You might kill a boss 3 times and get three pieces you need. You might kill him 50 times and get 1 piece you need. This might happen the day you turned 50 or a month later. Obviously the process isn't taking too ridiculously long for anyone, if people already have a number of the best endgame items in their armory and the game is a little over a week old. BW may not have implemented the PVP reward system the way you're used to, or the even way you like, but I'd hardly say they implemented it "wrong". This logic is retarded. In pve, the boss you kill doesn't constantly get stronger day by day. He isn't getting lucky form his bag drops and getting better gear than you with far less time invested. I'm going on ~30 bags with not even one drop. Real joke

While others keep getting better gear in PvP I keep looting those 3 centurion commendations. At this rate I need to do about three times the farm of an average person to get enough commendations for centurion pieces and still end up having worse gear because people lucked out and got champion pieces from their bags. PvE the bosses are the same if you don't change the difficulty and even then you get better gear while in PvP I cant open battlemaster bags until valor 60 which will take even longer because I have **** luck with the bags. Also from PvE you get commendations a lot faster and clearing eternity vault on normal which is really easy should get you enough commendations for one piece atleast. I'd rather pay 1000 warzone and 1000 mercenary commendations for each piece, that way I'd already have 3 pieces of gear with the farm I've done but because of the loot bags I only have 1 implant. Your idiot friend. He just hit 50 (he leveled at half your pace despite having twice as much free time as you), knows nothing about the top dps specs or the ins and outs of raid encounters. He came on his first guild run of the new operation, which you've been farming for a month. You've killed the first boss every week - but your damn chest piece still hasn't dropped. Chest piece drops... your friend rolls on it too. The RNG gods shine their fickle light upon your idiot friend this day, and he takes the chest piece. He just received a moderate dps boost with other stats to boot, and you're left a little further in the dust. It may not be the exact same situation, but your friend is progressing while you are not. Guess what? No one's complaining that "their idiot friend(s)" are getting gear. The opposition getting it is the problem. If my faction gears up faster due to luck? hey, good for them. I'm not fighting them. I'm fighting the enemy. My enemies get stronger due to their random luck with bags. Pve bosses do not. You suddenly wont magically be able to kill those bosses anymore. The pvp gear is another story, however. I WILL get left behind the opposition due to luck and will get to a point where I can no longer beat them due to just how strong the pvp gear is

And even if it did, by the laws of probability, there are those in the other faction with the same bad luck as you, making them equally geared targets. The issue for you is that this system is not technically "fair" from a single player's viewpoint. As a whole, the system works, but from your view (the guy who buys 30 bags and gets nothing), you feel cheated. I'm not saying its wrong to feel this way, but I am going to play devil's advocate and argue that the system does make sense from an overall perspective. The problem is that the majority of players couldn't care less about the system working from an overall perspective. People play their characters, not anyone else's. Sure its nice if my friends get gear, I don't really care. But when the system screws me over I couldn't care less about how it works overall. I want my gear that I deserve and I want this ****** rng pvp loot system out of my way. It's not rewarding to grind for a lootbag only to find another currency inside and realise that I have to repeat this 10 times to get any gear that doesn't count on rng. The game's overall desing is everything coming easy even the raids are easy. Why the **** is the pvp loot system so ****.
