Tibi-Fit
Hello. I know that there is already an option to highlight the debuffs applied by me, which is very helpful. But I wish there would also be an option to remove the debuffs applied by the other players completely. In a large ops group, there are too many debuffs and it will cover a lot from the screen. I'm pretty sure that nobody cares about all of those debuffs.
SteveTheCynic
I'm pretty sure that nobody cares about all of those debuffs. There are a few abilities that are modified according to whether the target foe has *a* debuff of the right type, but it can be applied by anyone. Example: on Gunnery Commando, the High Impact Bolt ability is enabled if the target has a specific class of debuff applied: anything that implies some kind of vulnerability, including: * the debuff placed by Grav Round * in-combat broken-by-damage stuns * the instant paralysis applied to weaks and ordinaries by Full Auto or Boltstream In all cases, it doesn't matter who applied the effect. It's useful to be able to see *those* "not mine" debuffs. (I don't know whether *your* "Affliction" can enable *my* Thundering Blast to get a 100% Crit chance, if we're both Lightning Sorc, but if so, I want to see that your Affliction is on there.) Valid point. I'm mostly playing sorc lightning, so my affliction is always applied. I don't have much knowledge about other classes and I also never thought that an effect will apply on a "not my debuff". But then again, this suggestion is to add an option that can enable and disable debuffs. Everyone is free to choose if they want to see them of not. In an 8m group, the debuffs are not really that many, but in 16m or 24m group, when all are attacking a single target, the amount of debuffs applied on the target is huge

I think it's a good idea, by the way, but I commented more as a thing for people who'd want to use it. Then again, I don't think there are many abilities that proc off of other people's debuffs, and High Impact Bolt is an all or nothing thing - if there's no appropriate debuff active, you can't fire it at all, and it's greyed out, so perhaps it doesn't matter. DarkTergon
what if it was a toggle option that just affected your own screen?
JediQuaker
what if it was a toggle option that just affected your own screen? Well, there are options in the Interface Editor for the debuff bar, but I can't say what they are atm.

Tibi-Fit
Well, there are options in the Interface Editor for the debuff bar, but I can't say what they are atm. There are the options of making the debuffs smaller, change their order and highlight the debuffs applied by you.
DarkTergon
There are the options of making the debuffs smaller, change their order and highlight the debuffs applied by you. I've said this on loads of threads/posts, toggles are great, the more toggles we have, the more people can customise the game to their liking, obviously it depends on how it affects the game, etc But if it has no negative affects, and can be done easily, then I'll always support it. SteveTheCynic
But if it has no negative affects, and can be done easily, then I'll always support it. Adding more options *always* has one negative effect: it increases the cost of testing since they have to test that at least a "substantial" fraction of the combinations of settings works correctly. The more settings there are, the more settings they have to test to cover that "substantial" fraction.

The more settings there are, the more settings they have to test to cover that "substantial" fraction. I suppose that would be a factor, so maybe no major effect, or negative effect in that it offsets the positive? *I'm not a programmer, just bouncing around ideas that might help the op Edited March 23, 2021 by DarkTergon
