Surveyor's notes

So I did all the dailies on two different characters which resulted in only one note. Why? Is this a glitch? I know when I played the traitor mission that it was super glitched, so I was wondering it this is also a glitch? Or is it just completely not worth doing the event.

One note a day for a week when the things I'd like are 40 or 50 points makes it very discouraging. Also impossible lol

It is indeed quite frustrating. Most notes come from doing the heroics. Additionally, there is a tiny one time story quest if your character has already done Ossus (I think). Go to fleet, check the usual news terminal. You will get a short dialogue cutscene with Daeeruun or Malgus and a quest to check in with an NPC on Dantooine immediately after the "standard event news cutscene".

You don't get any Surveyor's Notes for the solo dailies, only for the patrol mission to do six dailies. That patrol mission to do 6 dailies is available every day. You get two Notes from each of the 3 heroics. You can also get two from the once-per-week breadcrumb mission which you pick up from the terminal on the fleet and has you speak with the leader of your faction's forces on Dantooine and do 5 of any missions (including heroics). I think you are only eligible for the breadcrumb mission if you have completed Jedi Under Seige (the Ossus missions, the prelude to Onslaught), but you can do it every time the event comes around (unlike the bounty and swoop racing breadcrumb missions).

So, if you do all 3 heroics, every day, that's 42. Plus two for the [WEEKLY] and two for the breadcrumb is 46. Then, one for each daily patrol is another 7 for a grand total of 53 Notes per character per week.

I always forget about that breadcrumb mission and I do this on multiple characters per week. That's a lot of notes I've been missing out on. :(

That news cutscene is for one toon per legacy.

I activated the cutscene on one character, swapped to another and found out I could no longer see the news cutscene. That quest line is only completable once.

You sure? My main has done it twice (once per event) and my alts have done do it too... unless that was a glitch hey fixed.
