Amunra-amunray Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 (edited) There needs to be a serious balancing of all combat items in the game that include any droid or machine type system that shoots blasters or tech type attacks. They need to be nerfed of their damage and or lowered for damage output. Not remove their abilities but lower how much burst damage they put out. You level players but you do level the mechanics involved with all manner of tech attacks throughout the game. A silver and gold droid should not be producing so much damage output in such short bursts. Especially when a level 20 FP kills level 20 players faster than they can mitigate. Makes no sense to leave it this way... Level balancing was a smart idea, but not fixing the instance to match a more accurate burst of damage should also been made with them. And, i am sure a mountain of people will disagree with me, but it still makes sense that these systems need fixing....and not just in one or two instances Master Chapters of KOTFE and KOTET is a prime example of failure to balance what master truly means. It doesn't mean and NPC can shoot two shots and you lose 50% of your health that is poor game play.... it doesn't mean a damage class needs to place more presence and defensive mods in their gear to complete content that was done with actual damage modification and stats previously... The excuse that it would take tooo much programming to fix is bogus... if you were able to level all players to every planet and instance then you can do the same for BROKEN NPCs in all those areas.... mike_carton Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 (edited) Level 20 FPs and MM KOTFE / KOTET are completely different conversations. And that is before anybody weighs in on if MM Chapters need to be more accessible. If you elaborate separately on different parts that you think are unbalanced, we can have separate discussions on them. An across-the-board nerfing is not warranted in my opinion. Besides that’s too broad a weapon and is likely to have unintended consequences. Edited January 5, 2021 by mike_carton
Mubrak Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 (edited) We all know what FP is meant. The first pull in Hammer Station can be anoying without a healer, without a sorc or merc to CC one of the big ones (BTW: thanks again BW for taking away Slice Droid...), without proper AOE damage when pulling around the corner, and without proper communication to make sure everyone uses the same tactics. Same for the first boss, without a character that has (and knows how to use) a cleanse, without the "tank" having proper DCDs and without someone using the kolto stations when the guy doing and taking most of the damage fails to also do the healing. Lastly, the secret boss, the two turrets before the bridge. No mechanics, just a dps race, but that can be brutal for low levels, when you lack healing, mitigation and CC. Yes, most of us have Hammer station on farm mode, but for a group of new low level dps it's not much fun. Edited January 5, 2021 by Mubrak

These are more specific examples yes... but 7.0 has adjusted much of this burst issue in the game except not sure how it was corrected with a huge "blanket" of change across the board... Granted NPCs of all types take longer to kill dependant on their level.... i.e., strong, elite, champion... Well done in this regard....
