Monocoque Posted January 11, 2012 Share Posted January 11, 2012 There are 2 Orange cannons I saw in beta that I haven't been able to find so far. The first one has a triangular head on the end of the barrel. The second one has 2 barrels and and basically looks like someone ripped one of the turret pods off of the milenium falcon. (There is more than one gun with two barrels, so here's a picture to clarify. barkleybay Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 This is a great idea. As someone pointed out earlier, one of the major differences between the different weapons is their sounds. I read somewhere that there are 7 different assault cannon sounds. It would be great if we could catalog those sounds, upload the sound files here and identify which weapons make which sounds. In my opinion, that would be something new and highly desired. There is one assault cannon sound that I hear some npc guns make that I really want. I have heard some people from time to time using assault cannons in pvp that make the same sound but, when i check their inventory, it is always a green item. Thsts correct. But the twin barrels are only short. Sadly, only 1 fires, made me rip the mods out to put in my old gun, and vendor the crap. It sounds different to others, and as far as I have noticed there are only 2 different sounds. The Champion Assault Cannonc shoots cyan bullets btw. There is this cannon called Searing Crusader I think (let me check) Searing Crusader Can't remember where I got it, but it has a very "natural/realistic" sound, like you could smell the gunpowder =) There is another cannon, as a reward for finishing Chapter 1 that has like 5 barrels, and it sounds similar to Searing Crusader with asthma =) I know very hard to describe sounds, will try my best to post some videos when I get home today Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was crafting one until I clicked on the link and it said forbidden to Light 1 and above on both of them, losing three of my biometric crystal alloys in the process. You might try the Athiss Micro-pulse autocannon. It's not really small, per se, but it is not bulky. One thing that I'm disappointed about with the end-game cannons is that they all sound the same. On the way to 50 I've really only seen maybe 4-6 different types of cannons with maybe 3 different activation sounds and I really hope they add more variety in future content updates. Getting cannons with unique skins and sounds from Operations would be awesome as opposed to just the generic models with a different color palette. I made the trooper for this sort of gun, and end up with spamming a weird blue ray (grav round) while using a ...pipe ? I do hope they'll add minigun skins soon.
