BloodWard
Hello, I was wondering if yall could help me improve my performance, not sure if anything else can be done tho. I have: AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual-Core Processor nVidia Geforce 8600 GT 2 gbs of RAM Just wondering if there is anyway to get a bit more kick out of this 4 year old computer. I have all my settings on low, and I have updated all my drivers. Also, don't say overclocking, I dare not tread that path.
Mudanie
I don't think you can do any upgrading without doing significant replacements. You need a new motherboard since you have a socket 939 (from 2004ish) and there are no CPUs to upgrade to. New motherboard means new RAM.
BloodWard
Well i'm in the process of trying to buy parts for a new computer, just looking for someone to tell me if its alright and can run Star Wars decently. So far I have an AM3 AMD 870 mobo, Radeon HD 6870, AMD Phenom II x4 980 BE, 8 gbs of ram and a 550w PSU on my list. Just wanted to know if there was anyway to boost my performance till I can order my new computer.
