Problem with learning schematics.

I regularly browse the GTN to find new schematics for armormeching. Primarily modifiable armor. There are two problems with this however.

1. You can not open the GTN and armormech skill window at the same time. It is simply impossible. When you open the GTN, it automatically opens you inventory. If you have the GTN open and then try to get to your crew skills it closes the GTN.

2. Since I cant open my armormech crewskill to see what schematics I already own, I pretty much buy all the schematics that are on the GTN. Unfortunately you can use a schematic in which you already have learned. You can open your armormech window to browse through your scematics manually, however this is very tedious, and by this point I have already bought the schematic off the GTN.

Please Bioware, you need to fix these issues!

I support this. My main annoyance is when your companions come back from missions. This must have happened at least 30 times to me already. I'm browsing the AH and then BAM! Mako CLOSES the interface and gives me the middle finger. Normally this wouldnt be that annoying but with the horrible AH UI coupled with unsaved searches, it causes a lot of frustration. /rant Edited by KroganElite

Ditto. I hate this. Need to know which recipes you already have learned and need to be able to open windows simultaneously and you need to be able to keep companions from interrupting you especially after you just spent an eternity trying to find something using the craptastic GTN interface.

I have the same query / issue. I hope some sort of solution will be found by Bioware.

If they implemented some sort of addition 'stat' that either says learnt in green on not learnt in red, that's one way around it.

With regards to companions returning from a mission and closing the windows, they need to find a way to force that window to keep closd until you're out of GTN OR allow more then 2 windows to be open at any one time. I personally think the latter option would be best as it would benefit the game for many other reasons other than just using the GTN.

I also have a problem with crew skill missions. The mission has a picture and a lvl but it doesn't say what it is or if you already know it or not. I have purchased numerous crew skill missions off the galactic trade only to find I already knew them. Then have to try to resell. There should be something that says you already know a mission or not. Please fix these problems. Thanks.

You actually can do this, but it's not obvious. You need to put Armormech as a button in your hotbar, so that you can press it and the crafting window comes up, bypassing the crew skills windows. When you open GTN, it also opens your inventory. You can close the inventory window (but not the GTN) by pressing 'X' in the upper-right. Then click the Armormech button in the hotbar and, voila, GTN and crafting window open.

In summary:

1. Make a shortcut for the crafting in hotbar

2. Open GTN

3. Press 'x' in inventory to close crafting window

4. Press crafting hotbar button

How exactly do you put armormech on your hotbar? I tried dragging the armormech icon onto it, and that did not work.

Yes. It's all the little annoying/awkward things like this that make me wonder how long this game will keep my interest. I haven't found an in-game feedback option, either (unless I'm being dumb and missing it). That makes me think they don't even want to hear complaints/suggestions.

No need to resell them. Once you complete one of them, you can train it again. You only have it unlocked until you run it. 1 of each mission open at a time is the restriction.
