Ginnsu
Is there a real-life language Khem Val is speaking? It sounds sort of German to my ears. I know he's speaking Dashadi but it also sounds like an actual language and I know they've used Asian and African languages for other SW languages so I'm curious. Used a translator for some of the words Khem uses, and it very well could be based on a Germanic language. Would have to log in and really listen to how he talks but sounds like a safe bet. MadDutchman
Here I just assumed it was gobbledygook And I just learned something typing that. Gobbledygook is actually a word... That being said, it is quite common for authors/writers to to use existing languages as a base to make fantastical ones (ex. the "ancient language" from the Inheritance Cycle is based on old Norse), so it being based (loosely) on a RL language is quite plausible.
