Sins run out of power too fast

After I use the ability "Maul" 3 times in a row, I am nearly out of power. This means I have zero pressure damage when I have to wait around till I got power and can then use "maul" 2-3 times in a row all over again isn't much fun. Sad!

Don't use Maul 3x in a row?

I'm assuming you're Deception. As long as you're using them as they proc you should never even begin to run out of energy. After my initial rotation that's all I do, keep my rotation going as best I can in sequential order via what procs. I don't think I've ever dropped below 75%. You're just spamming something unprocced and killing every bit of your reserve. If you're insistent on doing that, though, there is a tactical that replenishes energy faster.

It's a power management issue. Don't take aggro off the healer, since, after all, most mobs are mostly programmed to go after the healer anyway, so you'll save on power that way, and by the time the healer is down to 20% health, the tank will finally notice and pull the aggro off the healer, leaving your DPS sin to put in a couple smacks on the mob so you don't look like you've DC'd.

1) The OP is a sarcastic cry for nerfs to Deception (pvp related).

2) I hope you're trolling like OP because your "advice" is terrible.

That’s cause they aren’t designed to use maul 3 times in a row. That’s why all the pvp whining about them being OP is a lot of rubbish.

Nice attempt at trolling...

You guys sure are pessimistic. I am presenting an actual issue in the game involving performance and energy management that I am sure others experience, too. I felt an obligation to point out the inconsistencies when it comes to this meta and it's FOTMs compared to past FOTMs. The present iteration are a tad underpowered imo.

I find unloading as many mauls in a row as I can is effective at blowing people up. That part is fun, I just hate how quick my energy goes away and how I can't continue my onslaught due to a faulty energy management system.

Yeah, let's complain about needing to do energy management. I'd like my sorc healer to have full energy constantly and I can just cast away without ever running out. I mean thinking and learning are so last century after all. :D:rolleyes:

I just think if they going to make this the new FOTM spec, at least make it complete so that there's not a energy management issue. True FOTM are strong across the board, and unfortunately this class still has some weaknesses. Just look in the past at the FOTMs, I am not making this up! SWTOR always has at least one or two FOTMs with unconscionable advantages with zero weaknesses.

TL;DR

If they want us to spam Maul, then they need to consider giving the sin class easier energy management. Right now it's a semi-broken FOTM, for full FOTM status the energy management needs to be revisited and improved.

Yes, it's a tongue-in-cheek response.

I can see why people would say this, but I am actually curious why they only went half-OP with the sin. It's sort of incomplete, tbh. Sure, it's easy, spamming maul and all, but it's clunky and boring, and one dimensional.

It can be as simple as BW throwing as much stuff together and at the wall with no real idea what will stick and what will slough off in a pile of refuse. Hard to believe what is going on right now with class balance was an organized, purposeful design by the devs.

Not that this means it's bad, I think they got lucky and some things panned out very well, while other facets didn't make it out nearly as well as some of the DPS classes or parts of the game that avoided taking steps backward.

Examples of subpar performance in the game due to changes with 6.0 is the crafting system they "updated" which completely destroyed crafting. They also made healers subpar with 6.0, just to point out how inconsistent the dev work was with 6.0.

I think BW was ambitious, and in many ways 6.0 was a success just because of how much work the devs did, but it just seems really haphazard though, too many numbers don't really add up sensibly in combat like the difference in HPS now and DPS, I mean there's no way they ran the numbers and had full control over how combat would be after 6.0. They didn't run the numbers and say, "oh yeah! That looks about right!"

I feel for the devs during that time, I can only imagine the stress and amount of work they had to squeeze in that last month of 6.0's development. Probably was really bad. That being said though, for me 6.0 has the feel of a game that just got out of beta, and hit the market as a new game. You know how that is, when the game has many features that need refined, and some need totally removed. Things still need added. etc. etc.

Do what I did, except...

Replace ALL tank armoring with dps armorings.

Replace ALL tank mods with dps mods.

Versatile Stims + Critical Adrenals

Change Tank Relics to Devastating Vengeance and Primeaval Fatesealer

Put in a 1-3 more alacrity augments until you have a 1.4 GCD.

DO NOT make any critical rating changes....trust the tactical to average 40.1% for you.

Slink around in stealth....when you have 123.53% critical rating...

Recklessness > Assassinate > Spike > Maul > Force Speed > Maul > Phasing Phantasm > Maul > Shock

Critical Adrenal > Primeaval Fatesealer > Overcharge Saber > Assassinate > Spike > Maul > Force Speed > Maul > Shock > Whither > Discharge > Deprecating Volts > Assassinate

...or something like that.

Stealth out for a minute...recharge that Luck Always Changes Tactical....find another victim.

=8-)
