stethnorun Posted December 11, 2019 Share Posted December 11, 2019 I recently tried equipping heavy trooper armor (from a schematic, not the adaptive kind) on Aric Jorgan and I found that for some reason, he couldn't wear it. So now I'm a little afraid to waste resources making new armor for my companions since I don't know what they can and can't wear (aside from adaptive). Thoughts? SteveTheCynic Posted December 11, 2019 Share Posted December 11, 2019 Each companion is a member of a special class reserved exclusively for that companion.(1) Aric Jorgan's class is "Aric Jorgan", Bowdaar's is "Bowdaar", etc. Any armour or weapon that does *not* have a playable-class restriction is OK. That means light, medium, heavy or adaptive; fixed-stats or moddable; white, green, blue, purple or yellow; whatever. A post-return companion's gear is class-restricted to the (returned) companion's class, which means that players can't wear it. (1) The clue is the red "wrong class" message that flashes up if you try to equip class-restricted gear that's restricted to one or more playable classes.
