Stims: Avoid direct damage

Spice: Don't realize you took direct damage

Stims: Move faster through territory to kill the enemy

Spice: Ask enemy for nearest donut shop to kill the munchies

Stims: Remain on watch duty for double shifts without getting drowsy

Spice: Forget you had watch duty and wind up in the clink for two shifts

Stims: Engage in rapid-fire close-range combat for hours on end

Spice: Watch someone on stims engage in rapid-fire close-range combat for hours on end

Stims: Field-strip, clean, and reassemble rifle weapon in 1.5 minutes

Spice: Weapon?

Stims: Reconnoiter, exfiltrate, and debrief high command on precise schedule

Spice: Loiter, precisely filter spice, command a high

Stims: Drop dead after 96 hours of non-stop stim-use

Spice: Bury stim-user after 96 hours of locating shovel

You left out some serious details. Like what kind of side effects do Stims have? What side effects does Spice have? How long can you use Spice or Stims if they have notable negative physical side effects?

Spice is au naturel, it has very limited side effects, mostly which go away after use of Spice ends.

Stim use on the other hand tends to carry with it long lasting, detrimental side effects the most common long term side effect of Stims has been proven by research to cause cancer. Research on lesser sentient beings also has proven that heavy use of Stims kills brain cells.

The worst trait of Stims though is the extreme addiction users develop. This addiction is nearly instantaneous, often times occurring after the very first use of a Stim.

Now, the Stim Manufacturers don't want you to know such details, in fact one of the most aggressive and persistent long lasting smear campaigns in the Star Wars galaxy is the one waged by Stim manufacturers against Spice and those who support the development of Spice and the use of Spice.

Stim manufacturers are constantly putting out negative advertisements about Spice and making highly inaccurate claims that Spice causes harm when in reality it hardly does so. All the rumors and "research" about Spice being the "gateway" drug to other more harmful substances have been proven false, too.

I'm pretty sure I've heard the same thing from cocaine addicts...

For that matter, the distinguishing feature between spice (drugs) and stims (medical stimulants/medicin) is whether you buy them from a pharmacist (do they still call them that in SW universe? not sure if it's ever mentioned) or a dealer/smuggler.

Glitterstim and ryll both have wholly legitimate uses, just like fentanyl (<-- forum spell checker is dating itself not recognizing that word), it's just very different depending on how it is used.
