APhantasm
I have been trying to play ToR for the last week and getting BSOD and CTD. BW pretty much wiped their hands of the problem. When I sought help from Customer Service telling me they knew of the problem, had no resolution, and to contact Nvidia. While I wait to see if Nvidia will do anything (I have a thread started on their forums) I need to look at alternatives. Which means a different video card. I need to get something that will work with my current configuration, but at the same time play the game with little hiccups. So if someone could help me in determining what video card I should be thinking about getting next it would be appreciated. My Specs: MOBO: Asrock N68C-S UCC CPU: Athlon II X2 240 - 2.8 GHZ RAM: 4GB (upgradable to 8GB) OS: WinXP (If I have to I can upgrade to Win7) Anything else you need to know just ask. Raximillian
I can't believe you would have so many problems with and Nvidia... It's either Nvidia or AMD/ATI, so graphics is pretty standard. Before feeding the card to the dog, have you tried older video drivers? I know they always recommend the latest, but something there may just be messing it up. Also, if you have another system laying around, or a friend close by, you may want to take your card and test it there, see what happens. Could be OS, or some other issue. I wish I had another system to test this in, but I don't. And I doubt my friends computer could handle this new a video card. Next where would I find older drivers to try. APhantasm
While I appreciate Raximillian's advice its not what I was looking for. I still would like some advice on Vid Cards that will work with my PC just in case I decide to go that route.
