acheros
Yes, i know this is an MMO, and i know i'm going to get alot of idiots who don't bother to read the post and just say "stop trying to make this a single player game, go back to consoles lawlz" But, lets face it. The games story is the biggest draw to SWTOR. when asked "okay? what does it do/have that i can't already get from wow/rift/aoc/daoc/coh/aion" the immediate reaction is "Well, its got a huge story line unique to each class, and minor details change just by playing darkside or light." The thing is, though. after end game, thats largely gone and the game just turns into just a different colored hamster wheel of gear grinding. So, i'm asking for this. In the future, of course. I don't expect anything this big to happen over night. Please, bioware..Consider adding end game for single player characters. Expand on the class storylines more, things like that. Alot of people were drawn in to the story line and have no interest in end game. This adds content for them without excluding those who want to raid as well. Single players end game is pvp Pve requires a premade group/guild effort You can just solo que for pvp and huttball till your eyes bleed Sounds fun right? But wait theres more! You can even objective swap on ilum! Who ever said end game wasnt fun?
Invitcted
Here's the thing though you've not actually offered solutions for single player end game. How does putting in more class quests help (I mean I'm sure they will when the expansions come out still)? You'll still plow through them easily enough and be back where you started. Furthermore if these people have no such interest in endgame anyway who's to say they will be retained in any case and thus is the risk is worth it? It all comes down to time and money in the end and who's going to give you the most. Finally what do you suggest for endgame solo play? The ****** questing zone in firelands' was Blizz's big attempt because people where whinging about solo play and it ended up being a boring grind fest and then they qqed some more. It's all well and good to say that 'I want solo endgame' without producing a suggestion that might work.
Theodwulf
Single player endgame stuff is tough unless it's going to be something like daily quests. They realy should have engineered a Meta-game into this game early, something that makes the world appear fluid and dynamic and appears to matter. Nussianis
I actually hope they do a opposite of this and have more Operations that resolve and intersect class quests with other classes for future content
acheros
I actually hope they do a opposite of this and have more Operations that resolve and intersect class quests with other classes for future content I'd be all for that as well, if it was maybe a branch off. Right now the class missions are a straight, linear line, but for endgame whos to say they cant branch off, and have one or two of those lead to an operation? XfunkymusicX
question here i guess is what spec would you solo raid in? its impossible. call in tom cruise...
KerinKor
The thing is, though. after end game, thats largely gone and the game just turns into just a different colored hamster wheel of gear grinding. So, i'm asking for this.. You're asking the impossible. By definition, STORY-DRIVEN content HAS no 'after end game', the 'end' is the 'end' .. or, in the case of a sub-based on-line game the 'end' as it stands right now. The story is finite and once you've consumed it all, all there is are 'repeatables', be they soloable dailies, or group-oriented instances and raids, there is and can be nothing else. Jett-Rinn
Ilum has end game content for solo players and no it isn't only PVP they will also be expanding it They are adding more flash points, more operations and more solo content they just don't have it right now because the game only launched nine days ago. Samy_Merchi
All stories must end. Sure, there can always be sequels, and I'm sure we'll see those as expansion packs. But it's nigh impossible to make a *story* go on infinitely. It has to end at some point.
