Weapon Tuning Slots

I noted some of the tunings are more cool than others. Thus, most players if they bother to spend the $$ for CC$ to get them (or buy off GTN), probably only use 1 or 2 of these on their chars.

 

It would be a benefit to your income stream on these things, to add a Tuning Slot which can be added to a weapon to increase the number of effects it has. I know it can be done, ie some weapon already have a "Laser" tuning with an optic (merely transposed from barrel location) by default, and thus you can add a Holoshield or lightning effect thus having both the Laser & Shield effect (or whichever you put on).

 

I can see stacking 3-4 effects to get the best look on certain weapons. IE Laser, Shield, Strap, Volatile etc. This makes some of the more mundane weapons that look cool but lack any inherent effect, user modable to suit.

 

Having said Tuning Slot addition a CM item would increase the use of and purchase of Tunings. To further capitalize on that idea, you can have it as Add 2nd Tuning Slot, Add 3rd Tuning Slot much like the addition of Cargo Bays, Appearance sets on characters etc.

 

Some Tunings you might consider adding are Holographic Sights (a few weapons have them IE Tac HUD Sniper), bayonet type secondary weapon (ie its just visual like the strap, but grenade launcher, bayonet or bipod)

 

While you're at it, maybe add the ability to have Color Crystals better enhance some non-lightsaber weapons, ie the Ancient Sith Lord's Blade. On CM it has a deep red hue, but in fact appears more grey black in game. Adding a Color Crystal on an item like that should give it the advertised color.
