eliteSnackbeard
I just reinstalled a couple days ago and even since I can not use the automatic elevators they just stay on the same floor forever I know that not all for the elevators but I have main quest that I can not complete because I cant use the elevator that the game is telling me to use. One I wait like twenty minutes for an elevator and it didn't even move.

One I wait like twenty minutes for an elevator and it didn't even move. Which one? Where? There are some that *look* like they will move, but they don't - you have to right-click the button to get a menu of places you can go.
jlrkat
The same thing happened to me. I came back after taking a break for a few months and the latest patch had just been installed. I was trying to do some missions in Grathan's Compound and I noticed that the auto elevators that I needed to progress weren't moving. I logged out and logged back in a few times before abandoning the mission and continuing the main missions, but I started noticing that every single one of the automatic elevators were frozen, wherever I went, like the one you need to use to get to the underground part of Grathan's compound. I also noticed that the elevators do move while I'm not logged in. If I log out and log back in, the elevators will be frozen in a different position than they were before I left. When I first opened the game it came up with a message that the card I had been using for my subscription had expired and it had changed my status from subscribed to preferred. I immediately exited the game to fix that and then logged straight back in. The message was still there (probably because I'd backtracked instantly after seeing it), so I clicked the continue button so I could select my main server (Satele Shan). This problem isn't just limited to one character or server. I checked all my characters across both of the servers that I use and they all had the same elevator problem as well as ability cool-downs and space combat being broken too. The cool-down timer isn't working, so I can't tell which abilities are cooling down and which ones I can use. With space combat, I'll start a mission like Jabiim Escort and everything will look normal for about 5 seconds before all the other ships and debris disappear. The mission doesn't progress, it just sits there until I press "leave space combat". I haven't been able to find a solution so I had to cancel my subscription, since without the elevators I can't progress some of the main mission paths. I am beginning to wonder if it might be a problem with my graphics card/driver/whatever-its-called, because other players can use the elevators just fine. What do you think? OwenBrooks
elevators being stuck and no cool down timers tend to be a system communication issue of some kind, last one resolved was due to teredo if that helps trixietriss may be able shed more light on what they found and fixed it https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=984818 Edited November 20, 2020 by OwenBrooks
TrixxieTriss
As Owen said, recently my wife had a similar elevator issue. The problem my wife was having had to do with the Windows 10 Teredo system that works in conjunction with the Windows 10 Xbox app. Basically it’s a network communication issues to do with NAT and ipv6. I would like to say it was easy to fix, but sadly it wasn’t and I chased my tail for hours. Thankfully Owen suggested it might be network and that led me down a path of discovery and Teredo / Xbox app. There is an easy way to see if it is the app. Go to windows settings, then the gaming section (that has the gamebar dvr etc). Then on the left side menu click on Xbox networking. When you click on it it will show a connection status for your network to Xbox live server. If the NAT type says Teredo is unable to qualify and the server connectivity says blocked, click on fix it and see if that adjusts anything (it didn’t for me). If that doesn’t fix it, then click the link “click here for more info” provided in that section and it will take you to the Microsoft troubleshooting guide, follow the instructions and see if that works. Then get back to us to tell us if your lifts have started working or not. (Fingers crossed they do cause the next part is confusing and painful, even as a techie). Shayddow
This is not the case in Hoth elevator. The Elevator on the East side is functioning fine. The one on the west side of the Hoth Dorn Imperial base (Shae Vizla server) was not. It is stuck on planet side, and not descending to the basement where the base is.
