Allow Quick Travel while moving

If you can't fix all of the stuck spots, and there are a LOT of stuck spots, and you won't lower the cool down of /stuck (not that it always works) then allow us to use quick travel while moving. At least that would allow us to get out of those spots where quick travel just puts you right back into the same stuck spot.

 

And yes, before someone posts, I know about hitting X to sit down then QT'ing. That doesn't work if the stuck spot is on a slope and you're always moving.

HINT:

An easy way to get out of a STUCK spot if you can't use the Stuck command is have your companion attack a mob. Then put your companion on passive. Let the mob kill you and your companion. Voila, you have just discovered the "Guardian's Escape".

 

Quick Travel is Channeled, so it can not be made to work while moving.

 

Oh and they put the timer on it because people would abuse the Stuck command to get out of PvP thats why it has that outrageous cool down timer.

HINT:

Which only works if there is something around for your companion to attack. Just like the trick to sit down, it doesn't always work, which is the reason for my request to use QT while moving.

Incorrect. Other channeled abilities can be channeled while moving.

Irrelevant to wanting to use QT while moving. And I acknowledge that they don't want to lower the CD on /stuck in my OP.

Seems like a good change, unlikely anything will ever be done about it due to a number of reasons. Another workaround for a 'stuck character' is to port to your Stronghold, then back, it fixes most 'stuck' situations, including your 'vibrating character' on screen in which you can't use the stuck command, and there is no cool down. I tried that one, too. Put me right back in the stuck spot. I made this post after getting stuck in a spot where /stuck wouldn't get me out of it, where I couldn't sit down to QT, and where traveling to my stronghold and back didn't work. What I eventually had to do was travel to my stronghold, use the galaxy map to travel to the fleet, then galaxy map back to the planet, run out of the hanger (because QT from hangers still doesn't work), then QT back to the outpost I was at only to get stuck in another spot. Fortunately /stuck worked that time. Allowing us to quick travel while moving would have eliminated all of that headache.

I hear ya, been in a similar situation. There's been a couple of times when nothing would work and I eventually closed the application and waited the ten minutes or so to make sure my character had been logged out of game. I've never played an mmo that had so many 'stuck' scenarios. I can get my character stuck at will if I want to, just by jumping on the corner of something, which isn't good... It would be nice if they saw this and had a more rapid and/or an alternate fix than the one that's currently in place.
