Appletaz
Recently I have been having some strange things happen. I get spikes of yellow lines across the screen,... doesn't seem to matter which planet i am on. Sometimes it is a whole solid yellow swath across the screen. And yesterday and today, I am constantly getting the screen jiggling, like there is an earthquake of some kind of explosion. Happens over and over. What is going on?? EvilTwinTepe
I get the same thing, on all sorts of planets. It has to do with the laser-based lighting I keep seeing. I get green lines, or swathes, I get bars across the screen, etc. I don't get the 'shakes' very often, and when I've seen them I think I've just assumed they were part of the cutscene I was watching. I've also had eyeballs bug out and go grey and creepy on me - though this has only happened on Taris.
Drudenfusz
I have seen those yellow and sometimes green lines only on Tatooine so far.
the_woookie
Its also a sign your graphics card is overheating. keep using it like that and it wont be long before you need a new one

'Artifacting' on the screen, and the like - that is a sign of video card overheating. But having obvious game graphics stretch out like they are is not. Raximillian
I have seen that on my dads computer but not mine. He moves the camera, and we can see flashes of brown across the screen. This is on an ATI card. It does not affect the UI however, and heat is fine. So it seems to be game related. Happened in Balmorra.
TUXs
Same for me. Nvidia 460GTX. Guild mate of mine is running ATI and sees the same lights. It's not driver, it's not overheating...it's coding.
Kookus
It's not an overheating issue. While weird graphics glitches are often the first signs of thermal damage to a GPU, there are many people having this problem, myself included, who know how to diagnose hardware problems and have ruled out that possibility. This is just one of several graphics bugs which have existed since beta and will be ironed out in the coming weeks. Speaking of weird graphics bugs, has anyone ever had a companion come back from a crafting mission while you are doing a space mission, and just kinda hang out in space beside your ship? Hilarious... I am running a GTX460 as well (well, 2, but I don't think SWtoR plays well with SLI). And yes, I've had this one happen as well - flying around,a nd I see Corso fluttering about the screen with my ship.
AERHAE
Could all of this be related to this Hero engine for the game I keep reading about? I have read serveral posts about this Hero engine for graphics.Seems Bio ware does not own the engine and it seems to be related to alot of in game issues. Why would you build a game around a engine that halfway supports your software? I could almost label that the 5year 500 million dollar question about this game. Whats going on here? EvilTwinTepe
Just saw this from a reddit discussion with Stephen Reid: "Q: "Green line bug" or what to call it, is that something the team is aware of? That is something we're aware of and the visual FX team are looking at."
