The pain in interacting with the websites (whinging)

I'm a returning player and trying to RESUBSCRIBE for myself and my wife's account. I've had so much trouble with trying to give Bioward/EA my money via the web side

 

1. one time passwords take for ever to arrive, sometimes never
   
2. the "maintenance" issue mentioned in another thread on multiple days.
   
3. credit card payment failing at the last moment with mysterious error. Finally worked a few days later (for me)
   

 

On the plus side, the actual game servers has been up when ever I've wanted to logon. At this point I am dreading having to logon to the website for anything given how regularly terrible the experience is.

 

I'm pretty sure my complaining here is not going to result in the issue getting fixed but it makes me feel better.

Well, the website does seem to be fixed now, but in regard to One Time Passwords - any time I've needed an OTP it has arrived very quickly - usually it's there as soon as I open my mail program or within a few minutes.

However, e-mail, like everything else on the internet, has to go through multiple servers/hubs/routers to get to your ISP and then to your mailbox. There could be a delay somewhere along the way.

To avoid the whole one time password issue, add a security key. Use a program like WinAuth and you don't need to install anything at all on your phone.

 

No more one time password problems, and 100cc per month. There's no real reason not to do it.
