As title says, my interest in this game is once again fading. And props to you BW...you're probably only company that can do this. Instead of hyping up people for it, you make people lose interest and want to leave your game.

As is your usual MO, you won't reveal anything about 6.0, because then you'd actually have to do some work before September and what we'll get is below mediocre expansion, where after it's released you won't change anything. LET US SEE NEW SKILLS, SET BONUSES AND GIVE YOU FEEDBACK: You work in all this secrecy like you are holding onto Avengers Endgame script.

I didn't care and still don't care about 258 gear and just ignore it. From level 70 to 75 isn't hard to get, but I am really not inerested in Malgus story and don't really care about Rep vs imp "conflict". Unless we can swap factions, is whatever with me. NO JOKE when I say, I don't care about Malgus.

Nautolan race very cool, but not enough to keep me playing this game for months and months. PVP is in **** state. So many one sided matches, because people keep leaving matches, because they can and no penalty. They even leave 10s before match ends, even IF THEY ON WINNING TEAM. It makes no sense ! .... SO in short, start penalizing people who leave wz match.

Old vendors have no love. And if gearing is gonna be something other than through Galactic Command, I won't even bother with sub. You won't get me back with new Stronghold, race or pvp map.

To each their own, but 4.0 was best expansion for me.

It's time to bring back Master Strike/Ravage for Knights/Juggs, Expertise on PvP gear, acquiring said gear via Warzome comms and a resurgence of Space Missions.

Oh, and maybe raising the credit cap for free players. 200-350k may have been workable during RotHC, but you can earn that in minutes now. Maybe raise it to 500k-1mil for F2P/Preferred?

I dont want to have to grind 1 STUPID set for just Pvp, just because some people think they are special and they're not..

It looks like we will already be grinding out different sets of gear for how we want our skills to act like, which is bad enough.

How do you earn 350K in "minutes"?

Yeah I also don't want expertise gear back. And if possible remove that stupid accuracy ****, where before we had it at 90% and had to get it to 100%. Now we got it at 100%, which is great for pvp, but for pve high end stuff, you gotta go 110%. It's just stupid. Either do real option of people going full in (of course not full in "in" ) into alacrity for healers without diminishing returns or heavy into crit and accuracy for dps and so on. Edited by Collec

Why should the dev's do anything for F2P? All the promises of F2P in every game never materialize; that includes F2P players converting to subs. They don't.

So screw F2P.. be grateful you can play at all. The dev's need to focus on what the *paying* customers want. like scrapping this ridiculous gearing system we have now. That would be a good start.

Usually it’s the nonsubs that game companies make more money off of due to micro transactions. So I disagree with ignoring the f2ps.

Well, you're wrong. I started out in 2014 as F2P, liked the game and subbed.

Five years later, I'm still a sub.

I know alot of ppl who started the same as I have.

They’ve asked for feed back and are going through it to see what could work and fit their own goals. It’s not an over night process, especially as people are still posting ideas and feed back into “those specific threads” they asked for feed back.

What they do need to do is finalise those feed back threads to tell us when they have stopped reading them and started working on the feedback.

I think you need to have some patience because it’s only been a few weeks since they asked for that feed back.

Of course, if they don’t discuss that feedback before they lock in their decisions, they will probably get it wrong and pick all the stuff the majority of people don’t want.

I think your post is a little premature, give them another 4-6 weeks. If we get no feedback on our feedback and they don’t have a discussion on their ideas, then I think there is a cause to be concerned.

I bet you're also upset that Kevin Feige didn't call you back in December and give you all the details about the plot of Avengers: Endgame, too.

The problem is they give toooooo much of the game away for free and subscribers are paying for those F2P.

No other AAA MMO gives away so much of their game to F2P.

There really isn’t any incentive for many to sub or stay subbed because preferred get most of what subs get.

Bioware should have kept a paid expansions model to give them more resources to build and make great content.

They should have kept paid passes on the CM and restricted more content.

Bioware made a bad decision removing those passes, especially the pvp ones.

The game should be made exclusively for subscribers in mind, not F2P free loaders. The free part of the game should be there to entice them to subscribe or pay for other stuff. Which the CM sort of does. But playable content should not be designed for them at all.

I too started as a free 2 play but, like you, with the intention of subbing if I liked the game and I did.

But allot of Free 2 Players want everything for FREE and never wants to sub, are just sponges, looking to soak up what ever they can for FREE then complain the loudest when they can't. It's micro-transactions inconsistent revenue that is one of the reasons that BW has no money for SWToR.

Micro-Transactions are a Subsystem not a Primary system to gain revenue for the game. The only way the Micro-transaction model works is if the game is structured around ONLY using Micro-transactions. But most of those games F2P is Very Limited Unless you BUY from the Micro-Transactions, which makes it almost like Subscribing but without the recurring payments.

F2P in SWToR is a "Never Ending Demo" of the game and not intended as a FULL game experience and should never be a full game experience..

It is a Subscription's regular income to BW that allows them to produce new content and hire more developers. Not the haphazard, never knowing when or how much revenue micro-transactions will bring in. Sort of makes it hard to hard to plan a budget. A solid group of regularly paying subscribers is what is needed not more sponges.

Was once a F2P despite having made my account back around when they first established this site, the game didn't look appealing at the time to warrant a sub. 2.0 was a real experience imo and I got to avoid the locusts and worst of the first wave. F2P started out pretty handicapped, which was fair in some regard but off-putting in general for a game that needed new blood. Though things improved in a number of minor ways, Preferred (which I ALWAYS talk about) still have a raw deal and encourages NO ONE to stay after the sub is gone. That's a problem and I still thank the Force that people like you don't have reigns over this game or it would have been long dead.

-snip-

As usual, I agree but to an extent. They've had 2 years and the game's been stagnant for a long time now. Them being tight lipped about everything instead of providing consistent feedback or revisiting threads to at least acknowledge what they would deem as good ideas to fit their design philosophy remains annoying and I'd like some mention of things they once had on the 'wall of crazy' but would now deem 'possible'. Something. ANYTHING. Do a blog that teases new animations. Show new interface. Shake the forums up a bit. They can do A LOT over the span of the new 4-5 months before they drop a new expansion that would mark a different phase in the game's life.

For your information I only watched first 2 trailers they put out and avoided spoilers on internet and theories.

My point was that what they are doing isn't compareable to something MCU is doing. It isn't even groundbreaking. Star Citizen is probably groundbreaking in terms of scope of how big they wanna make their game. Star Wars The Old Republic is leeching of Star Wars ip and barely surviving.

Oh please their little PR stunts, I don't fall for those. Where's the stream they said they'll do month ago??? They already have this worked out for 6.0. Don't get me wrong, of course they'll reveal some small **** and present few new animations and such, but that will already be done and it won't change.

How many threads were created, how people don't want Galactic Command and they ignored it 100%. It'll be same now. New *******r way to grind, grind for 2 sets and so on. And we are in May now. 3 more months and expansion is out. NOw is the time to do livestream, showcase what they got and WE GIVE FEEDBACK ON WHAT WE SEE, not what we wnat. What we want and see are 2 different things. What we see,we can say and they might actually change something. What we want is up in clouds, dreamland.

Exactly. They should be doing what Star Citizen is doing and what all "live-service" games should be doing. That game is in "alpha" mode and it's already way bigger and better than Star Wars The Old Repbulic will ever be.

Instead of putting your devs on dead on arrival game Anthem , future Dragon Age and whatever other game you got plan, what if you actually DEVELOPED YOUR OWN GAME, that is up and running for 6 years now. And yet again this game survives and leeches of off STAR WARS ip.

They don't care about their subs...if they did, they would share with us stuff and we'd give feedback and it would be back and forth thing.

And it's funny at the exact same moment I was talking about SC, forums went down and I had to rewrite this again from memory of what I wrote before. Really nice timing there......

Ok this is too funny...was trying to quote part of DarthCasus's post and says forums down, but I can post and quote my own. Part I was trying to quote is this and that is what my Exactly is reffering to :

It’s literally been two weeks.

If you’ve followed my past posing, you’d have seen I’m pretty hard on Bioware when they aren’t fulfilling their own promises, I’m always there to try and hold them to account.

But I’m also reasonable and happy to give them praise when they do a good job.

Yes, I’m still a bit worried this will be the same old, same old PR stunt and your fears might eventuate. I’d be a fool to think that couldn’t happen after we’ve all been burnt so many times.

But in all seriousness. Bioware literally just announced the expansion, they’ve only recently asked for feed back on certain things. You need to give them a chance or you are being unreasonable with your expectations that they can get all of this done in 2 weeks.

This thread would have made more sense if nothing has eventuated by the end of May.
