Hello everyone, I've never posted a forum in my life but I am genuinely interested in knowing what sort of laptop is able to support the max graphics settings for SWTOR. I don't know anything about computers and laptops but would like to know my options.

Thanks <3 <3 <3

Depends a lot on what you consider "supports"

This could vary a great deal depending on your FPS expectations.

You can expect to pay through the nose for something like that though, High end i7, 1080 and make sure it cools good, otherwise all that power will be wasted when it throttles back due to overheating.

The concept of a powerful laptop is somewhat contradictory. They can overheat pretty easily, often don't have real graphics cards in them, and unless plugged in, will want to save battery life.

My 2012 laptop can run the game on lowest graphics settings just fine at a smooth framerate, but I try not to use it.

A better question would be what is your budget going to support? Gaming laptops tend to be on the pricier side. Edited by Sobekeus

This is the biggest factor really. There are definitely gaming laptops on the market that could man-handle this game easily, but we are talking about a sliding scale of price. Honestly any gaming laptop in the $4,000 - $15,000 dollar range would have no problems at it, and in my opinion the gaming laptops in the $2,000 - $4,000 should be equally as good for this game. The big changes in capability for gaming laptops are usually played out in the $1,000 - $2,300 price range. There are some capable sub $1,000 units, but without knowing your funding size, it's hard for us to give you a definitive answer.
