Anything else I can do to get PvP Gear?

So I have 1,000 Warzone and 1,000 Mercenary tokens and have already bought the Champion's Gear Bag (unique)

 

Is there any other way I can stock currency to buy the lvl 50 gear, or do I have to wait till lvl 50?

Nope, just buy pots or companion gear in the mean time.

What do you mean by companion gear? The level 40 blue ones from the pvp vendor?

Also question the lvl 50 gear, I assume that currency is specific to being lvl 50?

I am told doing the weeklies also nets you a chance gear, I've yet to confirm it for myself though.

Level 50 unlocks 4 pvp quests.

2 Dailies / 2 Weeklies.

 

Dailies = 1 champ bag.

Weeklies = 2 champ bags + 1 bm or 1 champ bag.

There are daily and weekly quests for pvp.

 

The daily quests are: Win 3 warzones and take 5 objectives on Ilum. They reward a champion or battle master bag.

 

The weekly quests are: Win 9 warzones and take 15 objectives. They reward 3 champion bags + an additional champion or battle master bag.

Yes but he's obviously not 50 otherwise he would just open the bag and buy another one.

 

As other's have said you can't do much other than buy consumables, boxes or something for your companion. And what we mean by something for your companion is just buying the blue or orange items for your companion instead of for yourself. It's actually a very useful way to keep your companion very well geared if you PvP a lot.
