Not sure what these two other posters are talking about, but solo and duo stealth ganking is great on Ossus. You will find an opponent everywhere (subject to your time zone, which is prob why Trixxie can't find anyone). But be careful, sometimes they have a friend in stealth waiting for just such a person as you.

Addendum: i really hate fighting an opponent with a level 50 healer comp.

Not on SF. I only play my toon’s in the pvp instances as soon as they become availabe when lvling.

I have come across a couple of stealths, but I wouldn’t say there is much ganking.

Even if they do, keep your comp on dps and both focus their healing comp down. Then drop a dot on the stealth before he can stealth escape and you can both hunt him down as long as you keep a dot on him he can’t escape. Usually they give up attacking me at that point.

That’s why I say it’s non existent. Especially if you compare it to the old days.

Well, I definitely jump people on my scoundrels all the time.

It starts with you Trixxie!

I miss ganking with my Sin on Yavin when you had to be flagged for pvp. Riding along flagged waiting for some silly pve guys to attack you cause they think with their epic Armor and 3v1 you will be an easy kill.... but it’s a trap :D

Get jumped and they instantly flag themselves. Stealth out and follow while they mull around looking for you. They’d give up and move on and I’d follow till my combat stealth was off CD.

Then I’d CC the healer from stealth (if there was one). Watch them blow their breaker instantly cc again and attack the weakest melee.

With both Xalek and me in 208 dps pvp gear (full Expertise) with Augments, we could devastate the first dps before the healer could do much. Then we’d move on to the healer and kill them. Stealth out and cc the 3rd dps to heal up. Then attack them.

Sometimes I lost, but most of the time it worked.

I miss the old flagged for pvp system and expertise. It was more exciting and dynamic fishing for OWPVP amd the xpertise gear allowed you to compete against the epic geared pvers.

Think I'm up to about 15 PvP kills on Ossus on DM - but I don't go around in a group. - Ganking is not about skill, but numbers.

I've probably been jumped a similar number of times. Won some, lost some.

That's mostly been 1v1 - but sometimes you can go up to a mission objective and 3-4 people pop out of stealth and kill you.

The other day my sniper + dps comp caught 3 pubs with their pants down. killed one and gave the others a good hiding before running off into the sea to die and respawn. - Dunno if they get credit for that or not, but it sure gave them the runaround, and got the adrenaline pumping.

Would love to do a big rampage over the planet, but unless I organize it, it's not gonna happen.

So Ossus OW - PvP is alive - albeit a little sluggish, Ganking not a huge problem, just a few kids out for kicks.

I've been jumped several times myself. It's always when I start fighting a group of mobs too. Cowards choose such a dishonourable moment to attack me. Sometimes I kill them and sometimes I don't, a few times I just die because I'm outnumbered. Sometimes the people and all the mobs attacking you are just too much. But I've still managed to overcome some 1v2 situations.

I'd say anybody who flags up for PVP can really expect to be jumped on Ossus. You can't drop your guard. I wouldn't characterize the place as a safe place to do dailies, unlike other "PVP" areas in the game.
