When does the first mission end for Knights of the Eternal Throne?

Hi, I'm a new player that picked up the game recently. I was trying to figure out which class to level based on combat so I thought using the boost to 65 would help. It says you can get a refund unless you gain a level, do a crew mission, or complete any mission.

Anyone know when the first mission ends? I like trying the classes but I play for like 10 minutes and delete because I'm scared of accidnelty completing a mission.

You could probably just google it. Find a video or other walkthrough, and see where it ends. Though you really won't get much of an idea of how any class plays from just that one mission.

There are 4 "base" classes for each Faction, each with two "advanced" classes, and each of those with 3 possible specializations. So 24 possible "playstyles" for Republic, and 24 more* for Empire. There's no way you can really try out any of them playing less than one mission.

Pick a class, start at level 1, and play through the Story. If you aren't liking it, switch to something else (maybe the "other" advanced class for that base class, or just a different specialization). Then switch again, and so on. That will give you a much better idea of how the different classes play, as you're learning it while you go through the story. Leveling goes much faster than when the game launched, so you'll likely be well beyond level 50, possibly near 70, by the time you finish the original level 1 - 50 class story.

The "start at 60/65" character boosts are really intended for a player who's already done the original story content many times and wants to skip that and get directly into the later stuff. The "start at 60/65" option locks you out of all the original story content, for both your class and your "original" companions, so you miss out on a lot there.

*They're all "mirrors" of the Republic classes, so theoretically the same, but even though they use the same abilities, with the same effects, just different names & animations, some of them still just "feel" different than their "mirrors".

The way you get your skills when leveling slowly guides you into the gameplay, by the time you leave the starter planet, you should have an idea of how the class generally plays. Jumping right to a near-endgame character with a ton of skills won't make it any easier to figure out which skills to use in what situation.

Leveling a character to max is not much of an effort in this game, you'll be at max level long before you're done with the class story, so pick the class according to whether it seems fun to you story-wise.
