Valanze
This is not a I hate SWTOR thread I actually love it. These are things I would really love to see fixed they also really start to kill my enthisiasm to play. Now I havent /bugged them all but I have done a few. 1) Sound. I cannot count the times that sound cuts out. This is really frustrating. I know it may seem minor to some as I do know folks that have subtitles on and listen to background music for me its a terrible problem I would really like to see a resolution to. 2) Auto Stacking. I am a crafter I do love the fact I can have mats in my bank and craft. What I do hate is that if I just right click to move a material to my bank it does NOT auto stack. I have to manually drag the items over and stack them myselves. I think this to me is just unacceptable it takes a lot of time to do this. 3) Reverse engineering greying out both you inventory and your bank until you have them both open switch to your either your ship or your companion to bring color back to your items in yoru bag/bank. THis makes it hard to stack your items which you must do manually. PLease see complaint 2. 4) Auction house searching. I do not know if it is intended to limit the amount of DB request (also possible I have no IDEA if that is the issue) but why can't I just search a name? If I know I want Fibermesh why can't I just type it? 5) Social Points. I love them I will be honest I am fortunate enough to play with my two sons so I have no issues gaining them. However when I do not play the character I normally play with cause they are offline or unavailable I play my alt. No one wants to group and do missions/stories. I just cant find someone to say hey lets do this planet get us some social points. Yes it is just customer gear but I will be honest I love my customer gear. I find that piece that is oh wow and I spend my money/time modding it keeping it up to date. Why add such an awesome system but not offer more encouragement to stay grouped? Heck I can't even find Heroic 4 groups as a healer when I have outleveled the content I am lookign to get the group in as a HEALER. There is another thread where I mention solutions to that. I would just refer to taking a peak in there. 6) Travel. I do not think current mount speed is sufficent. Getting people to planets IE space travel is great and quick. Once on the planet Hoth/Tatooine I am looking at you even on a 100% mount is painful going from point to point. While I do like the in game visuals if we could get there just a but faster i would be most appreciative as some of yourr quest objectives can be REALLY far south (shakes fist angrily at Hoth). Do I really need to see herds of Tom Toms for 30 minutes on end and nothing else? (30minutes is an exaggertion but you do get the am I there yet feeling QUITE often.) 7) Craft times. I am not a fan of farmville or any of those others free to play MMOs (they are MMOS). I understand this was done so that even people who do not want to craft themselves can still do so and be competitive but please give me a way other than affection to either lower crafting time if I have to buy an item with IN-GAME money so be it (shakes fist angrily at Farmville) then so be it or even better let me craft on my ship. 8) Grouping. Somehow someway encourage it more I will admit to not know how but please. I THINK its because no one wants to get stuck with someone darkside and have to live with whatever ******* choice he makes. (not that Dark siders are jerk offs I mean yoru in game character not YOU) Now I will admit I DID feel this way but I like the system now. Where I could possibly get that darksider that wants to kill em all and be done with it. Heck I even like I might get the Ultra Light sides who forgoes the reward for more lightside points. What I would like to see is those choices matter and somewhere the fact you objected be noted so later on the NPC who is pissed at mister jerk off darksider says Hey I know you objected so here is your chance to make it rigth kind of thing. So at least it identifies I am a lightsider and I so did not agree with mister darksider. 9) This is the last one I swear. Do not make this WoW. I like what you have done. I like the direction. I believe there is room for all different kinds of games. When I see someone and I include myself in this list who wants something that is very much WoW in SWTOR I have to remind myself if I want to play that its still an option. I am here for the direction SWTOR is taaking not to play WoW in SWTOR. Thanks all for your time. ***EDIT*** 10) Saw another thread that reminded me. Party Chat. For whatever reason I will lose teh ability to see party chat. I can talk in it and NOT see what I typed after I hit enter. I cannot see what party members say in it. I cannot see anything party chat related at all. This is actually a big one and I completely forgot. Now ok I am really done. Ghoulishtie
1: I haven't seen any problems with sound yet. 2: I completely agree. We need auto-stack. 3: same. 4: Again, completely agree. 5: I actually enjoy the social point system as it is. Then again, I have access to about 5 other friends that are playing this different times of the day, so no complaints here. 6: I have yet to be able to use a mount (only lvl 21), but so far I don't have any problem with travel speed. Granted I can't wait to move quicker on my mount. I just don't want flying mounts. Please no. 7: I would rather it tell u what the amount of affection your companion has will do to craft time/battle statistics/ect. Make it ranks, just like light/dark side points. (affect = 1000 = rank 1, ect) 8: If you're talking about it only showing the cutscene to who won the social roll of a conversation choice, I actually have to disagree. I enjoy seeing other peoples choices in conversations, light or dark sided. It helps the variety of the game IMO. 9: I fully agree. The 'not so intelligent' people asking for a LFD system (when most of the flashpoints are located in the fleet anyway) and duelspec for advanced classes, need to adapt or leave. Although Bioware should take an example from past MMOs, they should still keep to their own guns. (Re-re-edited cause I feel I was no where in the wrong, and enjoy my freedom of speech. These forum mods need to learn the difference between posts that actually need editing, compared to harmless posts expressing self-opinions.) What I meant was and you have to forgive me sometimes its hard for me to express myself. I want the choices made on the day to day quest IE non story quest to matter. So if you have a darksider who slaughters the helpless engineers so you can get the part faster have it matter. However if you picked the lightside option and lost later on X NPC says. Hey your guy sluaghtered our buddies I know you were against it to redeem yourself do X quest. Hell maybe even leave it the same but have it acknowledge a choice was made but in the end its the exact same quest with different flavor dialogue. Make sense? Claymaniac
I agree with some of your issues definitely. Some I don't, like mount speed and crafting times. Those are design decisions that I think are fine. Personally, they aren't enough to make me not want to play. I can deal with not being able to auto stack and GTN not being very user friendly. There's more than enough good things in the game to keep me busy. Looking forward to the fixes down the line.

I still like the game very much so but these issues sometimes really just make me not want to. I know some are just annoying but for me it really takes from my drive to play. Crafting times and mount speed your probably right about but I still think there needs to be a way to lower times other than affection and quicker ways to traverse so much empty space. Valanze
Soon, padawan. I am good with that response just for which items and if you have links would be great too. Unless you mean the ones which are fixes. I am sure those are soon but man it sure is annoying having to deal with them till then.
Aurinax
The long crafting times are perfectly fine, considering you can do 3-4 missions/recipes at a time AND still do other things with your character. Travel time is fine too. it's a PLANET.

I know it may seem minor to some as I do know folks that have subtitles on and listen to background music for me its a terrible problem I would really like to see a resolution to.I haven't had this... I'd suspect it's problems with specific hardware. 2) Auto Stacking. Seriously... fix this asap, it's obnoxious. 4) Auction house searching. I do not know if it is intended to limit the amount of DB request (also possible I have no IDEA if that is the issue) but why can't I just search a name? If I know I want Fibermesh why can't I just type it?It's probably set to up do most of the filtering using foreign key based indexes (read, numbers) which are a bit more efficient/faster than string based indexes. But yeah, it's a pain to use. Add in: if you're setting up a search, and a companion finishes a crew task, it bumps you out of your search window, and you have to go through the clunky search again. 9) This is the last one I swear. That is why I made the how many times do I really need to see those herds of wampas. I am fine with it being huge just give me a way to move around faster. pewny
1) Sound. I cannot count the times that sound cuts out. This is really frustrating. I know it may seem minor to some as I do know folks that have subtitles on and listen to background music for me its a terrible problem I would really like to see a resolution to. I havent had a problem with sound ever. i suspect it may be specific to your sound card? 2) Auto Stacking. I am a crafter I do love the fact I can have mats in my bank and craft. What I do hate is that if I just right click to move a material to my bank it does NOT auto stack. I have to manually drag the items over and stack them myselves. I think this to me is just unacceptable it takes a lot of time to do this. This is for sure a problem. Inventory organization and functionality are lacking, also moving stacks to your bank with right click doesnt auto stack. and no guild bank at launch....*** bw? 3) Reverse engineering greying out both you inventory and your bank until you have them both open switch to your either your ship or your companion to bring color back to your items in yoru bag/bank. THis makes it hard to stack your items which you must do manually. PLease see complaint 2. havent seen this yet, but i have seen complaints from reverse engineering bugs like it not procing the schematics correctly 4) Auction house searching. I do not know if it is intended to limit the amount of DB request (also possible I have no IDEA if that is the issue) but why can't I just search a name? If I know I want Fibermesh why can't I just type it? This dead horse has already been beatin, but yea it looks bad when again....they launch the game without another basic mmo interface function. 5) Social Points. I love them I will be honest I am fortunate enough to play with my two sons so I have no issues gaining them. However when I do not play the character I normally play with cause they are offline or unavailable I play my alt. No one wants to group and do missions/stories. I would just refer to taking a peak in there. social point system is crap. we should be able to attain social points just for completing quests in a group, we should not have to spacebar past the cutscene or be forced to listen to the cutscene to attain the points. should be an option to skip all cutscenes and auto select light or dark side. Also the social gear is broken and/or lacking in variety 6) Travel. I do not think current mount speed is sufficent. Getting people to planets IE space travel is great and quick. Once on the planet Hoth/Tatooine I am looking at you even on a 100% mount is painful going from point to point. Do I really need to see herds of Tom Toms for 30 minutes on end and nothing else? (30minutes is an exaggertion but you do get the am I there yet feeling QUITE often.) travel speed is always a *****. i cant stand how slow playing MMOs feels. And seriously wheres the content on some of these large planets? why make a big planet only to have it desolate and empty of quests/rewards for wandering off the beaten path. i understand the datacrons are supposed to be the answer to this, but its just not enough. They need to take a page from EQ where there are little factions hiding in the zones with quests and fluff updates at these locations, etc. 7) Craft times. I am not a fan of farmville or any of those others free to play MMOs (they are MMOS). I understand this was done so that even people who do not want to craft themselves can still do so and be competitive but please give me a way other than affection to either lower crafting time if I have to buy an item with IN-GAME money so be it (shakes fist angrily at Farmville) then so be it or even better let me craft on my ship. the crafting could be viewed as good or bad at its root mechanic. Personally i would rather have the current swtor crafting system over another time sink style crafting mini game. But ideally for me crafting would be kinda like playing a very detailed mini game which would affect your results based on how well you could play the mini game. Crafting a gun for example could resemble one of the top notch flash games we see today on our phones. All in all i like the crafting, i just dont think it was refined and balanced enough for go live. 8) Grouping. Somehow someway encourage it more I will admit to not know how but please. I THINK its because no one wants to get stuck with someone darkside and have to live with whatever ******* choice he makes. So at least it identifies I am a lightsider and I so did not agree with mister darksider. This is just a big let down. The game itself facilitates anti-community. It has nothing to do with your light or darkside points and everything to do with how the game is structured at its root, and lack of other related community functions and tools.....like server specific sub forums... 9) This is the last one I swear. Do not make this WoW. I like what you have done. I like the direction. I believe there is room for all different kinds of games. denully
yea sucks you dont get it all served on a silver platter. we should just start as lvl 50 with lightning speed that would be much easiere.
mstinalynne
Well, since The forum interface will not allow me to enter a title, thus prohibing me from starting a new thread, I decided to post this here. THis is a new game and new MMO's never start out fully featured. The game has a lot of things I like and few things I don't. I am guessing this will be true for all players. It's the details that differ. I will wait and watch for features like macros and guild storage and a more flexible UI with scalable, movable bars. There is one thing that has really irked me thou. Several of the datacrons are located in locations that require one to execute a series of jumps, some of which have to be pretty exact. I dont think this has any place in an MMO like this. If I wanted a test of my ability to hit the space bar, I would fire up my console and play Sonic. I have wasted a considerable amount of time trying to jump up series of pipes when the game itself often doesnt let your character jump when you tell it to jump. It's just a time sink. If I am a up and coming Jedi, shouldn't be able to use the Force anyways?
