LD_Little_Dragon
I didn't think this needed saying, but some level 70 just quit a vet fp in a sulk after asking for a heal (out of combat) and I told him/her to to heal themself. This was vet, we had no healer. With all companions set to heal by default it is possible some new players have never used their out-of-combat rest and recharge ability. Every class has a rest and recharge ability, this is your out-of-combat heal. Please make sure this ability is on your quickbar if you do any group content. Heal up before and after combat. Even if you have a healer in your group it is their job to heal you in combat . It is not their job to heal you once combat is over.
SteveTheCynic
The problem I have is that I cannot even understand how you could manage to not know about the out-of-combat heal. OK, I admit that I was the main guilty party in the Reyelria'kinth incident(1), but even then I knew about the OoC heal abilities. (1) It was the name of one of my characters who was subsequently killed by a delete button. Somewhere during 3.X, she was a level 16 Lightning Sorc who left Korriban and took the berth reserved for her on the Black Talon. She was my first Sorc/Sage, and I recklessly charged in there with a group of lower-level others (10, 12, and 14). We got to the bonus boss and I ended up facetanking the boss, so halfway through the fight I switched to mashing one attack while I read my tooltips. Don't do this, boys and girls. It hurts.
