Do yavin dailies not unlock when you go straight to fractured alliance and skip SoR?

Just wondering because I boosted to 70 a character and just jumped right to the recent chapter (seen everything a million times) and the Yavin dailies are not unlocked.

The Masters' Datacron insta-70s don't have any of the story completed. So the dailies for Yavin and Ziost are not unlocked.

That’s a bit dumb. All the dailies and flash points should be unlocked with a lvl 70 token. Most people who use one have already been playing the game and done everything before.

Well I'm pretty sure the datacron states its only leveling you to 70, and giving you a ship if you haven't unlocked already. It doesn't auto-complete the story, unlike the Outlander token.

AFAIK one of the stated purposes of the 70 datacron was to let people replay the class stories.

 

The 60 and 65 tokens do unlock everything including the class companions and the dailies so those are options.

Skipping directly to Fractured Alliances, the Iokath daily area, only assumes certain choices were made during critical events of KOTFE/KOTET. Only actually starting KOTFE will unlock the Yavin daily area (and Ziost for that matter). Don’t know if or how that will change with 5.10.

Well that's dumb....Oh well.

 

@Others, I ran through the vanilla story content and finished at level 48. I just didn't feel like leveling to 70 and had a 70 boost to burn and then used the terminal to start the most recent story. Didn't know it wouldn't auto complete the SoR stuff otherwise I would have started at kotet. Again, oh well, its just an alt lol.

Master's Datacron i have used a lot, and it does Not unlock Yavin and Oricon stuff, it only gives you all of your lvl 70 abilities with a full set of 230 gear. That's it. You still have to do the Class stories and to get all the Dailies unlocked you will have to do either the Insta- 60 or 65 unlock, which you still don't get Iokath unlocked and Nathema.

I've used a datacron on every new character I've created since the datacron's came out, simply so I can skip right into earning cxp. I love playing through the story, and do not want to skip over any of it. So no, I don't find it dumb at all. It is the point of the datacron to allow you to skip to level 70 and still be able to do the story. It's always been advertised that way, so why, at this point anyone would be surprised by that is beyond me.

You're wrong here. You can also unlock the Yavin daily area by, well, er, playing through the SoR story.

 

My understanding of the "skip to Ossus" thing is that it autocompletes *everything* before, but I may have mis-read something.

Well, as far as the terminal on the ship goes, SoR is gone from the list. I don't really remember what npc to talk to that starts it if its still available that way. That said I'll probably just wait till 5.10 where they said the next story does auto complete everything.
