Alwaysthirsty
1. PvP gear has been dumbed down so much that they're obtainable through QUESTING. 2. Even if you saved up tokens, they're still to easy to obtain 3. Everyone will be geared in Champion sets in a month. /yawn 4. 60 Valor rank takes less then a week What's left for the hardcore PvP'ers to work towards, a BM set that's negligibly better? I'm bored to tears with the PvP, I don't see SWTOR having staying power for anyone that's even a casual beyond 3 months. Give me something to work towards BW, I'll even settle for a ranking system. CHRISGG
I love your definition of not casual is "grind." Wish the game had a rating system so you could not get the highest tier of gear and be brought back down to earth.

So... you want to PvP constantly to get gear that 'casuals' cannot reasonably obtain all for the purpose of outgearing them so much that you just steamroll them to increase the size of your ePeen? Sounds to me like you want to make others miserable because you can't have fun otherwise

KretanMelithorn
I like the PVP warzones just fine and don't care if "casuals" have the same gear. I don't feel the need to show off in a video game. I hope Bioware doesn't cave to such demands.
Zutha
How is obtaining gear and a valor rank (that is obtained purely through time invested) related to PvP? I thought PvP was about being the best, not grinding to obtain gear. Bring in a ranking system so I can laugh at this **** who thinks time invested = skill level. On a side note, it's the casual players that make MMO's their money. Now refer to my sig. Edited December 29, 2011 by Zutha

Surely a Hardcore PvPer would want a fair fight gearwise so they can show their skill? Oooo you mean a hardcore WoW pvper who get gear that is mega poweful so they can roflstomp lesser geared people. I mean, we already established that you wish to grief people so let's be honest all the way here This sounds like another 'wwwaaahh! AstralProjection
If PVPers are really as "hardcore" and "talented" as they claim, other people being able to come close to their level of itemization shouldn't really be an issue, or a punishment. Real PVPers like a challenge.
LogicaLInsanity
So ture, OP is a tool. Grinding for better gear should not make you the best at PvP. PvP is MORE fun if you have subtle differences in gear that you can achieve, but really things come down to how you decide to setup your talents, and how well you can skillfully cast your skills and strategy. Rewarding people with the most time in a game so that they can get substantially better armor is stupid and is the #1 reason people leave MMO's in the first place. I'm bored to tears with the PvP, I don't see SWTOR having staying power for anyone that's even a casual beyond 3 months. Give me something to work towards BW, I'll even settle for a ranking system. Here we go, another pointless thread. 1. So? It is a good starter gear, you need gear that is easily obtainable so that when you do Warzones you wont get destroyed by people with BIS gear. A good PvP does not care how easy is the gear to obtain, its about your skill, gear is a mare tool. 2. Sure but it is time consuming and huge RNG can really screw you since sometimes you won't get the item you need/want. Wait till ranked ladders come, maybe some gear might be only obtained through your rating. As iv said, its not about the gear, that is rather a convenience a tool to be used. 3. So? This isn't a game for you if you want to be a special little unique snowflake, just look even WoW is heading that way compared to what it was @ Launch and in TBC with Arena only gear. This is a good thing, more people will have the gear, more fair matches where skill takes place. 4. Not fussed about that. A good player will not be known by his rank but by his name. Pullzar
Careful now, hes prolly about to cry about some WoW content that makes it teh "best mmo in the" blah blah blah! wow doesnt set the standard for a thing in this world. nor does the way they do things. if u want to play a wow-riffic game, go back to wow. and learn a few things, such as: Just because it has a bazillion people whove subscribed to the game, doesnt make it the best. think about it a second, i bet every single ONE of us has a chessboard at home, but that doesnt mean its the best board game out there. =P learn to play THIS game for THIS game, rather than cry because it isnt the same way as "that other game"

Hardcore PVP-er here and I think you are a moron. It's not casuals that are ruining the game, it's self proclaimed hardcore PVP-ers demanding advantages over others just because you spend all your time PVP-ing, and all for what? A little peen' stroaking? Logically, as PVP is your passion you should have that advantage over casuals already.
