The HK-51 components

Now and then you see someone complain that getting the HK components is just to much work, so here is something that may help.

I did the HK-51 quest on many characters (20 or more) and after the 3rd character or so I started to notice sometimes the locations were exactly the same sa before. So I started to keep a list and noticed that despite what people said, the locations are not random. On every site I have had locations that were exactly the same as before.

The list doesnt always help, sometimes it still dropped in an unknown location. But on some characters it only took me 30 minutes and that was including travel times (we didn't have the fancy stronghold travel back then).

So here is a list of the locations that I found (locations marked with a * have definately been reoccuring locations):

20 times, yikes! I've done it 3 or 4 times. And bookmarked this post in case I'm masochistic enough to do it again :)

I wouldn't be surprised if it was selected from a (large) list of fixed positions. But that doesn't make it not random. Random probably just means it , well, randomly chooses from that set of fixed positions.

And for those who have been scared of (or don't even know about it), it's worth doing on one toon. Yes, even though it involves a lot of time scanning for parts. The Theoretika part is pretty good. And, of course, you get HK (though he is pretty nerfed from pre-4.0)

Section-X (Belsavis L50, post-story daily area). There's a droid there that starts the extended quest.

All subs get this area included in sub. F2P/Pref only get it if they purchase an unlock (CM or GTN)

For people who want to get this on more then one character i got a tip from a friend.

Bring the characters you want it on to the search area and start looking. Once you found it relog to the next character and start looking around the area where you found it. According to my friend it is almost always close to the place where it was just found.

Your friend is wrong, *but* if you manage to log in on the other character within a minute of the first one finding it, it's still where the other found it. After that minute is up, it moves somewhere else in the area, and it could be *anywhere* in that area.

The procedure also assumes that the other characters get in the same planetary instance as the first was in. If nobody else is on the planet, that might not be true, and similarly if you were the last in the second instance and there's space in the first, it won't be true either.

For the Coruscant/DK parts, you can grab it, travel to your stronghold and dump it in your Legacy storage and return (not exit) to pick it up again.
