Not Getting 100% CXP Bonus....

I know this is an old topic, but it has taken me a while to get 4 classes to 300 each.

But I am NOT getting the 100% bonus. I am only getting 25%.

 

I have

a Knight to 300

a Counselor to 300

a Smuggler to 300

a Trooper to 300

 

I submitted a ticked and basically was tolled I was not getting the 100% bonus because my 4 class are all Republic.

 

I have searched and NOWHERE can I find where is says I must have both Republic and Imperial classes at 300 to get the bonus. It only says

 

Any Knight or Warrior to 300 adds +25%

Any Consular or Inquisitor to 300 adds +25%

Any Smuggler or Agent to 300 adds +25%

Any Trooper or Bounty Hunter to 300 adds +25%

 

and Not

 

Any Knight and Warrior to 300 adds +25%

Any Consular and Inquisitor to 300 adds +25%

Any Smuggler and Agent to 300 adds +25%

Any Trooper and Bounty Hunter to 300 adds +25%

 

So did I miss something?

Are you looking at the bonus on your characters that you got to 300? It doesn't apply to them. (Read the tooltip carefully - that bonus only applies to characters at command ranks *below* 300.)

 

But yes, it is, indeed, supposed to work as you said, on the either/or basis. It certainly works for me so far (one trooper and one knight done ==> +50%).

Oh lawd, this is the second post recently where the CS response was as if they don't know their own game. Republic/Imperial has nothing to do with it.

It is mirror classes.. So you could have warrior, smuggler, consular and bounty hunter and you'd get the 100%. It isn't faction limited. That being said the 100% applies to only those characters who are under 300 CXP. Anyone over 300 CXP will only get bonuses if it is 1) a bonus week 2)you use a CXP booster.

 

Edit: Bioware you really need to spend more time training your employees.. Have a better knowledge base available to them, or find people that actually know the game.. Sheesh.

You don't. All you can do is check the math of what you're getting based on knowing what the based amount of CXP being awarded actually is.

This. It only works for the ones under 300. I asked this before and I was lucky and got someone that knew what was going on and it doesn't matter if they are all republic or imperial but it does matter that they are different classes.

The way I know I am not getting the 100% is that I only have the one achievement for my Knight for 25% bonus. I did not receive the achievement for my Counselor, Smuggler or Trooper. It still tells me that I can stack the other 3 classes to get the 100% bonus, thus I am only getting 25% and not the 100%

Why didn't you mention that in your original post? That is the actual problem: you didn't get the achievements. The lack of bonus just follows naturally from that.

 

Also: have you checked the numbers themselves to see what you get?

 

Bear in mind that you just add the percentages together, *then* apply the sum. (e.g. if you have 100% from a booster, 15% from the basic per-character perk, and 25% from the bugged legacy perk, then your bonus is 140%, and if you have the booster and the character perk and the full 100% legacy perk, your bonus is 215%.)

Can you link a screen shot of your Achievement for Galactic Command under advancement? In your original post you said you have 4 republic glasses to 300 but now your saying you only have the achievement for your Knight.

 

Are they in the same legacy? Can you link a screen shot showing which classes are at 300 just as just the class name and command rank from the character window plus the achievements. Might help clear things up.

Under Global Unlocks it only shows that I have one unlocked when I should have 4 unlocked.

 

I have a Sentinel, Sage, Vanguard and Gunslinger all to 300 command rank. So I should have 4 unlocks but the game only awarded me the first one and not the last 3.

Ok, I think this is getting confused.

 

Are you saying the actual achievements “Commanding Consular”, “Commanding Trooper”, “Commanding Smuggler” haven’t been given? These are in the achievements section (Legacy > Advancement maybe?). NOT in Global unlocks.

 

But it seems you are saying that you did not get the “achievement” since it doesn’t show in the Global unlocks. You are talking about info in the “Commanding Legacy” perk? I’m not in game, but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t say anything about how many you’ve unlocked there. I can check much later tonight.

 

So, check your actual achievements for the above. If they are unchecked, then that is the problem. That’ll take a ticket.

 

If they are checked, and you think you are not getting the bonus because it isn’t worded in the Commanding Legacy perk, I think you are mistaken. It doesn’t acknowledge anything there. So I’d suggest providing an example of the CXP you are getting with all relevant active bonuses and the math.

Looking at the perk in Global Unlocks, the tooltip does not tell you what you're percentage is. It just tells you what the perk does.

 

Did you get the Achievements for it? Scroll down to Legacy, Advancement, Galactic Command. If the Achievements for Commanding Knight, Smuggler, Trooper, and Cunsular are unlocked, you should be getting the bonus regardless of what the tooltip in the Legacy Perks, Global Unlocks tells you(since it doesn't actually tell you what you're getting, it just tells you what the perk does). You'll have to compare CXP gains for a certain quest on a Command Rank 300 to a non Command Rank 300.

 

For example:

 

So I have all the necessary Achievements unlocked for the perk, and I'm going to compare the CXP given for doing the weekly for Activities, Solo, Alderaan on a 300 rank char and a char that hasn't gotten 300, full Character Perk Improved CXP on each one, no consumable boosts on either one:

 

Merc is Command Rank 300, CXP for Alderaan weekly: 1,237

 

Sniper is Command Rank 13, CXP for Alderaan weekly: 2,363

Take it easy. I never said you were. You'd be surprised on here how often pointing out what seems to be the obvious isn't actually obvious to everyone. As evidenced above.
