Hi all!

I haven't played for a year. What's the best way to get back into the game. continue to play on my old "main"

or start over with a new one.

I think i have forgotten most bout my rotation and spells. My main is a lvl 60 Jedi Sentinel.

If i am going to start over. is there any new things i need to know about the classes?

Best Regards

Roger

I’d definitely make a new character if you’ve not done all 8 of the class stories. The best story and hence the best part of swtor IMO is still those vanilla stories, they are the only ones that still feel like Star Wars. Edited by TrixxieTriss

Usually I say "start over".

But since it has been "only" a year, and you don't have any toons at max level (70), I'd consider just running your Sentinel with a decent influence level comp through Heroics, and get it up to 70. And get a little familiar with the end game hamster wheel, uh, I mean gearing. You can relearn your abilities that way, while making a lot of credits, legacy XP (if you aren't already 50), and gear.

But I would certainly also play through all the class stories at least once. I agree with a lot of folk here that this is the best part of SWTOR.

The real question is... what do you personally want to do? Go with that. If you cannot make up your mind... you could flip a coin. :) You can take advice from other players you do not know... but how does that really help you personally? Player preferences are so varied from player to player... you might have to be a bit more specific about what content you really want to play..... as that can help refine the feedback posted to be more useful to you.

As for what's new with classes...... in reality if you have been gone for a year or more.... it does not really matter since you probably are rusty (or have completely forgotten) how to play your character(s). so it's a learning curve no matter what (with an edge to a character you have played in the past since that represents a "refresher" rather then a fresh start. :) That said... numerous sources (opinions presented as fact actually) on the forum here insist there has been nothing added to the game since 5.0 released. :p

:) Depends on your main and how you feel. My main is the one, everything else is a sideline and my main is the Only character I had for a long time. Do you want to resume with that, or start new with another? Its a big game plenty to see. Come back to what's familiar or see it all brand new :).

Ooh, I'd want to totally make a new character for both factions! But that's just me. :D

I agree. I've 104 toons across 4 accounts, and I've probably over the years deleted and re-rolled more toons than I have now.

New toon if you're bored!

Different alignment, class, gender, species, outfit, weapon -- we're all playing with dolls (or "action figures") so...

live it up!

Roll another toon!
