Lana Beniko Romance with Republic Character Question for 6.0

Hiya,

I was thinking of rolling a Jedi Shadow and like all characters, i always romance Lana Beniko, just cause she is awesome, but my question is, what is going to happen to the romance if the whole Imperial and Republic war returns?

I take it, they are going to do another one of those 'it never happend type of things? cause that would be a kick in the face....but then they did that with all those that romanced Theron Shan.....i guess Lana Beniko is next?

I don't want to waste time with the romance if its gonna be a 'never happend' type of thing.

It would be cool if we could choose who to fight for, i mean we have the Eternal Alliance fleet, unless that all just suddenly disappears conveniently for bioware story......they tend to make things important and then somehow useless the next.

I wouldn't put it past them to just make it all good and dandy and then it gets patched into 6.0 with the expansion and then suddenly its 'sorry Commander, you are Jedi, i am Sith, we can no longer be' i mean come on. lol

I would honestly prefer the ability to choose who i fight for in this new expansion instead of it being based solely on our class, it really isn't realistic if you think about it.

In the story conversation with the Outlander. Lana said she would never going back to Sith Empire to fight against the "Outlander" (I was an Outlander from Republic) If I return the Galaxy back to where it was before KoTFE/KoET happen.

Which conversation was this? I don't recall anything like it while romancing Lana on my Knight. (though I did also side with Acina and the Empire on Iokath...)

I am sure they will likely make a plot in the story where we have no say in the matter that renders that statement to be completely wrong....you know Bioware and how they render our choices pointless.

I get the feeling we'll be able to remain with whichever side we picked on Iokath (in the case of my Knight who romanced Lana, that would be joining the Empire) in the upcoming expansion.

After siding with the Empire, I remember getting a letter from Lana that said something along the lines of eventually getting my character access to the Imperial Fleet on Vaiken Spacedock once the Sith get somewhat used to the idea of my character not belonging to the Jedi anymore.

I really hope they stick with this. After turning on the Republic, I sincerely doubt the Jedi Council would want my Knight back. :p

Might be you too focus on the romancing (Flirt) option :D

I'm not romance her so I choose all the different option every time I replay the story at least 4 times I saw that line from Lana.

To be perfectly honest, from the perspective of Acina or Vowrawn, I don't know what I want Lana back in the Empire. She's obviously willful, sneaky, not above going behind the backs of her superiors, and all in all extremely dangerous to an Emperor she disagrees with. Her considerable Alliance-era contacts would only make her a more formidable adversary for power. In their shoes I would be worried about her either a) taking down the Empire from the inside, or b) taking over the Empire. (Which is a story arc I would support 100%, by the way.)

After everything that's gone down between them, I find the idea of the major players in the Alliance being allowed back to their factions like nothing ever happened very out of place.

In the SoR story a Republic character who romances Lana can repeatedly ask her to defect, and she repeatedly says no. I don't see how a Sith could be at all comfortable living in the Republic. Similarly I don't think Theron would be particularly happy living in the Empire.

I think this could be a tough choice. Both of those characters are very attached to the player but I don't know how it's going to really work out for them to go cross-faction permanently.

This is my concern as well. I haven't romanced Theron across faction, but I have a friend who has and I don't want her to lose her fav romance.

Sounds like you don't recall the knight storyline, where you can get a turn a pureblood sith into a pureblood jedi.

It's a huge concern. It makes me hope and wish they will consider letting players choose to continue being a third faction, if they do not wish to return to a faction or don't want to have a faction absorb the Alliance. They could always continue allying and stay separate.

I also wonder how the Zakuul contingent would fit in,. There are now two romanceable characters from Zakuul. Considering the damage Arcann did to the Empire and Republic I don't know if he'd be welcomed there at all, understandably. Koth is so proud of being from Zakuul that he might not want to defect somewhere either.

Ehh, that's a bit of an apples to oranges comparison. It's one thing to turn a dark-sider to the light, it's another to bring a dark jedi back to the light. We do have an example of that in Bengal Morr, however! I suppose I would have been better off saying that my Knight would rather eat her own lightsaber than go crawling back to the Jedi Council :p
