JEDIKATT
Imp side gets invided by rep-side and unkown guild breaks in to imp guild flag ship for conqurst points and title and rewards maybe have the invaders take contro:(ll of the ship for a time
xordevoreaux
If by control you mean consume the other guild's resources, to the extent of having key access, to move the ship wherever, which costs credits to do, and to take over the flagship summoning, and to redecorate.... no. If people want to set a pvp flag on their guild ships so they're attackable, that's on them. But everyone's? Again, no. Mewmaker
This is ok, to a point. Guild-to-guilld pvp in a flagship being attacked by another guild? Sure, that’s cool, especially if guilds get flags for there guilds and hang it in the main chamber and it is removed the next time the guild defeats invaders or invaded another ship. Total control of another guilds ship? No way.
JamaicanCastle
"For conquest points" - so you want conquests to be even more dominated by bigger guilds at the expense of everyone else? Plus you'd get people cheesing things like blocking off the door with decorations. Strongholds are just not designed to be combat spaces.

SteveTheCynic
I would suggest that it should be a format like Guild Wars 1's GvG battles: * Each participating guild proposes an 8-man team of guild members. * Special rules on membership delays are For Further Study(1). (That is: should team members have to have been in the guild for a minimum time?) * Each participating guild must have a guild ship. (Specifically, the defending guild must have one, but I'd go further and say that both must have one, just like in GW1.) * During the fight, all rooms are unlocked and all decorations are hidden. * Special NPCs spawn in the defender's ship. They occupy roles similar to the NPCs in a GvG guild hall in GW1. * The battle runs for a set time unless the Admiral ("Guild Lord") NPC of one of the guilds is defeated. * At the end of that time, if there is still no winner, the battle enters a sort of "Sudden Death" mode, with rules that are For Further Study.(1) (1) Meaning that I don't know what is the best option here. Suggestions are welcome. EDIT: left out one part. It doesn't apply in GW1's GvG, but should be present here: These are just GvG fights. No lasting numerical harm happens to either guild. No looting of the losing guild's treasury, no destruction of decorations, nothing. It's just for bragging rights, and perhaps a GvG tournament feature or something like that. No impact either way on Conquest, nor XP granted, nor CXP, nothing except GvG tournament kudos. Edited April 23, 2018 by SteveTheCynic
AdornedBlood
This idea has potential, sure, but how about the new members or low levels? They log in , get killed, complain on forums aka " my character didn't even loaded and I was dead" or " sorry but I missed the guild ship conquest announcement, I was at school/work". What solution would you see suitable for that kind of problem?
SteveTheCynic
This idea has potential, sure, but how about the new members or low levels? They log in , get killed, complain on forums aka " my character didn't even loaded and I was dead" or " sorry but I missed the guild ship conquest announcement, I was at school/work". What solution would you see suitable for that kind of problem? Caveat: this response is meant to be interpreted in accordance with my proposal above. The GvG battle would take place in a separate instance that *looks* like a pair of fully-opened guild ships (one for the defender, one for the attacker), thus solving the lowbie-character-spawns-into-the-fight problem. The battle is strictly an 8v8 affair, and it is up to the members of the guild to organise who will participate and approximately when and to arrange what I'd guess would be a groupfinder style of challenge interface. My view is that you would not be able to start a fight without the defenders being ready for it. "Matchmaking" or groupfinder or challenge-response is another one of those For Further Study things.
