Playtime and How Long You've Played

I just found out that you can see how much you've played the game by typing /played. Apparently, over the course of a little over 4 years I've played just a few minutes shy of 920 hours. I hate to say it but recent years chipped in to my playtime quite a bit.

 

How long have you been playing and how many hours have you logged?

These thread pop up every 6-12 months. I used to go and check each toon and report back, but I’ve now got so many and have played on two accounts (one now unsubbed since 5.0) over a 6 year period that I’ll just guestimate this time based on my last total + approximately how much I’ve played since then, which is a lot less than before because of the 5.0 debacle, plus the server moves last year and now 5.8 rubbish.

 

So, my guesstimated time played would be close to 14000 hours (maybe more) or an average of 6.5 hours a day or 45.8 hours a week for 6 years and across 100+ Alts, with about 80% of that has been in pvp.

 

Swtor was fun for 5 of those years. Now I feel like it’s a second job I pay to do. Yes, I could leave, but I’ve not found any other MMO that let’s me swing light sabres and use the force. I’ve unsubbed twice on this account. Once for 3 months (last year) and just last month after 5.8 released. My other account was subbed since launch, but I closed it about 3 months after 5.0 was released. I’m now at the point of completely unsubbing again if Bioware make anymore mistakes and don’t repair the ones they’ve made.

My longest played class is my Sorcs, followed closely by my Mara’s, Juggs and one Assassin and one Merc

 

My longest on one toon is on one of my Sorcs (3742 hours). But that was on my other account, so I’ve not played that toon for 12 months,

 

On my least favourite classes, Powertechs/Vanguards, I’ve only played a total of 53 hours and 211 hours on Operatives.

 

Snipers sit in the middle, I need to be in the mood to play them, but I’ve spent over 1000 hours on them.

I'd calculated that I spent.. (have it written down somewhere, but from memory now) about 68% of all of 2014 logged onto swtor characters. Had started on a new server with new characters on February 2014 and exactly a year later I added up the /played times.

 

About half a year ago I had another go at it, and I believe it had dropped to below 35% (still as of February 2014; I played before that, and on other servers, but too many character deletions to make sense of that), and it has probably dropped further, with how much more time I've been spending on eso.

 

I started playing in December 2012, and have way, way too many characters to check all /played times regularly.

I've been around since launch, and I've been pvping since I hit 50 a week later. Besides the dailies I never did any pve until last year, lol.

Im too scared to check how many hours I have on all my alts. 😛😛

Hmm, I wish I'd found out about this before the merger forced to delete more than 20 chars I'd leveled to 50. It used to take much longer to level a character in 2.0, so it's hard to say, and I don't think I kept any of the characters from that era.

30 days 13.5 hours - First character 1.x marauder

 

51 days 23 hours - dps main 2.0-4.0 sorc

 

63 days 5.5 hours - 2.0 main op heals

 

143 days 18 hours - mid 2.x-5.0 main op heals

 

68 days 9.5 hours - 5.0 main merc heals

The last time this thread came up in October, I had 525 days and 17 hours starting from March 2013.

I probably now have 525 days and 22 hours.

Lack of direction and a level of competence that cause you to question how they get into the office, since no one seems to have the mental faculties to operate something as complex as a doorknob, have completely sucked dry the well of hope I had.

insta65 Jugg Tank at GC tier IV: 12 days, 5 hours

Op Healer at GC tier III: 8 days, 20 hours

lvl 50 Tankassin leveled in 2.0: 5 days, 11 hours

lvl 57 Healer JC: 4 days, 6 hours

lvl 50 Gunnery Trooper, first toon ever: 11 days, 6 hours.

 

A few caveats: I have 37 chars spread out over two servers. Most are at 50, none lower, because I made nearly all of them before I started subbing and 50's the limit for F2P. Average is probably about four days apiece. I thought it took longer in 2.0 but I guess not much longer. My trooper took forever to level because I didn't know how to play. In general, the only toons I played once I reached level cap were either tanks and healers, because they're more valuable in pvp [well, they were, at least], or chars that I had given in-demand crafting professions like CT, Synth, Biochem, etc to use to gear alts. Sometimes I also used alts to grind reputation for events like Rakghoul. I had another 20 some chars but they were deleted in the merger.
