What is wrong with your security connection for the store?

I wanted to buy some cartel coins off the website, rather than from inside the game, and it's telling me it's not secure, and even when I went with google's suggestion to try https it wouldn't work. I tried another search engine, microsoft edge and it wouldn't come up there either. It keeps saying it's not secure and I can't put my transaction through. It used to be fine and would go straight to paypal, no issues and now today it's being uncooperative.

Anyone know what's going on? It's a nuisance not to be able to use the store.

the cause of the issue is not that the page itself is not secure is the fact that they are referencing files that use http:// instead of https://

Some browsers will automatically block those types of sites. I use firefox and it only blocks the unsecured content not the whole page. The page is still secure so you can make a purchase but it will cause an error on some browsers and if using an add-on my block the page fully.

Keith / Eric, see the following for what I mean when I use FireFox to inspect the page.

There are have also been reports of people using PayPal getting similar errors and it may be related or the cause.

Thanks for the answer, I appreciate it. It makes sense what you're saying, I'm just not sure how to go about fixing it. It keeps flagging the entire site/page as Not secure, and it will go through the process of buying CC normally until it comes time to flip over to Paypal and then it shoots up the error message and won't let the transaction go through. I'm not terribly PC savvy, so if I can find a simple way to fix this, that would be great. A couple of days ago it was fine, this seems to be something new. :/

Not sure what happened or what changed. BW will need to check that. All I can suggest is one of two things:

1. Try another browser like Firefox

2. Purchase the coins from a 3rd party site like Amazon, get the code they email you and redeem it on swtor.com

I dunno, it's definitely broken, I tried it again and now the links for the CC amounts take me to the EA page. Firefox and Edge were giving me issues, so I'll just pay down on my credit card, which is hooked to the ingame payment and use that, I would've preferred to use paypal to avoid the hastle, but...

Anyway, thanks for the help. :) I reckon they'll have to figure it out, I can't be the only one with issues.

Sounds like it may have been taken offline for them to investigate the issue if the behavior has changed.

You're not the only one, I have the same "ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR" when I try to purchase some CC using Paypal.

I am having the same problem. Everything used to work fine, it just started recently.

I have tried Edge, Firefox and Chrome. No luck.

It goes through the process normally but then when you click PAY NOW it doesn't take you to PayPal to confirm your purchase, it just brings me right to a Receipt that says thank you for your purchase.

No money changes hands nor any CC.

I'm not one of those people who comes to the forums to throw around threats and rage, but dag nabbit...this better get fixed before this Spring Sale event ends! lol
