Meet you on Nathema and have the same exchange, then. There's something poetic about having a romanced Arcann join you on the world he was once so afraid of. But asking for mercy is good and logical. And I agree with you that it could have been the case for Vaylin too. However, the case would have been harder to sell to some Commanders. . I agree, and would never want to take that choice away from people. I'd still have liked to see Arcann and/or Senya make the effort, even if it ultimately doesn't go their way. Even if, at the end, she forces our hands. My problem was never that she died (though I'd have preferred something else) but a lot of the story before that. And I see even some poetry of having him kicking a few a**es with us on the planet. Give us some more of the fierce fighter he can be! We lacked the subtelties of what it meant for two people of a family to know that on one side they have to protect people "for the greater good" and on the other side try to save their own blood. It might have been too much repetition to do it again the same way with Vaylin, but I am pretty sure that there were possibilities. Even a final scene with Arcann and Senya rushing to a dying Vaylin to hold her while she dies would already have been nice at the very least. I wanted the option to give her a pep talk and have her come around before trying one last time to save her daughter. Or not, that should be a choice, too. If she's not coming back story wise, throw her into the Cartel Market? or make her a subscriber reward? It would be no different than having Ranos or Hexid with you when you make a new character.
