Lord_Jedite
I've tried a few classes already, i didn't get very far but no matter what i do, the game just boring my highest is 22 which is a bounty hunter. Thought as a BH i would do some bounty quests here and there but im doing this lame melee game thing. I dunno if i should just use one of the boosted characters It just takes so long to level and maybe the game is not for me
Anzel
Not only is it boring but we're getting like one little morsel of story every 6 months or so. LOL, I just don't really care to know the outcome.

I am not really a fan of the bounty hunter one. My favorites are agent, inquisitor, smuggler and consular. It doesn't take as long to level now as it used to. You might want to try some xp boost if it is taking you too long for you to level. At launch it took longer to level than it does now.

Kokomah
It just takes so long to level and maybe the game is not for me This one is easy.... If you have tried a few classes and you haven't enjoyed any of them, the game is not for you. If you think leveling is too slow and every storyline is boring, the game is not for you. Skip the drama momentus and look for another way to entertain yourself.

Sith, Jedi, smuggler, etc. If the level is a problem for you then maybe get the new boost from the cartel shop since it doesn't affect the stories. Some classes have quite a few abilities but once you learn them it shouldn't be a problems as you can set them up on your bar to make it easier for you to use. Kokomah
You think i should i should boost a character? would i get confused with either their story or abilities or should i just suck it up and just try to get through it Boosting a char is good option for players who got many toons and have done all storylines at least once already and do not want to go thru all the hassle again. As a new player, boosting a char will send you to the endgame with zero story background, zero class knowledge and will only make your experience way more frustrating, with the potential to make other players very frustrated as well if you decide to try group activities. doohickeyexpress
You think i should i should boost a character? would i get confused with either their story or abilities or should i just suck it up and just try to get through it So here's what I did (started playing 3 or 4 months ago.) I found the base stories to be lacking as well, so I decided to use my free level 65 character token on a mercenary. Of course, even though I had watched countless videos and done tons of research on the game (as I always do with any game before playing) I was still confused as hell, and was asking for help in genchat on Harbinger when I got an invite to a guild. I didn't think much of it, and I thought I'd leave the guild soon after, but I still clicked "Accept". Fast forward to today and I've been in the guild ever since, they are some of the nicest people I've ever met in any game. They helped me out so much when I first joined, and it's been fun as hell playing with them. I've become a regular, hehehe, and it makes you feel like you're a part of something. I highly reccomend you use the token, and ask for a guild or for help right when you get to the fleet. Hell, I'll even invite you to my guild if I'm online. Don't quit the game just yet! There's so much more to it than the stories.
DanNV
The class stories are the best part of the game anymore. The recent expansions (BW calls them that, anyway), KotFE and KotET, are ok for a single play through, but after that, they aren't worth looking at again. Lord_Jedite
Thanx ill probably just create a new character but this time i will do heavy research and will start from scratch. i really love lightsabers but i do not like the combat. especially when you have to use 5-6 abilities in the melee's rotation. like i was ok with 4 abilities early on but then i reached level 4 and learned 5 more abilities already. i dont like that i like to pace myself when levelling. Tapping the keys 1,1,1,2,2,3,1,1 it is how i like it not 1,2,5,3,7,5,6,6,4 i don't like to do that in my rotation just a few abilities at a time is all i need. I use the number pad for my abilities you know the 1-9 keys, i also use 0 to jump and use del and 2 extra buttons on my mouse. those are my keybinds, the rest i need to click with mouse I like to rush in kill everything with an aoe using the saber and jump back out and possibly to another group of mobs. i like to be fast and efficient when soloing content but dunno if any of the melee classes do that. Seemed i got off topic once again but anyway ill try to stick with it and give a melee class another try. Quick question, can the sith only use red sabers? or if they are a good sith (which don't make sense lore-wise) they can wield other color sabers? Jagaimee
Quick question, can the sith only use red sabers? or if they are a good sith (which don't make sense lore-wise) they can wield other color sabers? Sith or Jedi - anyone - can use whatever color crystal in their sabers or guns that they like. You're not limited by how light or dark you are, or what faction you're in. So you could have the darkest of dark Sith with a blue lightsaber, and the most purest and holy Jedi with a red one. ...or white or red-black or charred orange or green-brown or turquoise or pink-purple... There's a lot of color options in this game. XD

You don't have to worry about that because I don't pvp in mmos, I hate pvp and I avoid it altogether. Tsillah
If the highest you have is level 22 then I don't know what to say. This game has arguably got the best story telling of any MMO from level 1-50. If you think it's going to slow, well, it actually isn't slow at all. Maybe you're used to single player RPGs and not MMOs but in that case I'd say MMOs are not for you rather than just this game. In my view going from level 1-20 goes really fast. I like that but if you call that slow then I really really don't know what to tell you. Well, there's one thing. As of the 12th there will be a double xp event for the rest of the month. Lord_Jedite
I actually played many mmos some level fast some do not, the slow ones usually have good combat mechanics reason i stay with it longer. the faster ones usually have good endgame such as wow If i want to stay with swtor i need a class i won't get bored of. using fewer abilities does not factor into the boredom, it is usually better as i can focus on the game rather than remembering to press the right keys. It is usually the story and leveling pace that factors into the boredom, and sometimes the class
Cuiwe
Which classes have you tried and up to which point did you go? Which planet I mean. Level 25 incurrent system can be a lot of things, given that you can go in any order after Coruscant / DK. Also, who has been flogging you ****? Neither Jedi nor Sith are Good / Evil. Jedi are supposed to be "Other centric" and Sith "Self centric". That's about it. And it isn't against the lore to be a "bad" Jedi(imo, Yoda, Windu and co are VERY bad and hypocritical ; don't forget Aayla + Kit porno stuff{oh and also attachment to Vos} -> and they were MASTERS) neither is it to be a "good" Sith. In fact, Star Wars itself need to explore this further. Edited November 30, 2017 by Cuiwe

I am not aware about any class in that game that has what you want. No class can be utilized even at 30% by using 4 skills only, not to mention the extremely useless keyboard+mouse layout you are using. It seems you want an "I WIN" button and I am happy to inform you that we don't have such in SWTOR.
grania
So you could have the darkest of dark Sith with a blue lightsaber Indeed Here's my blue, dark side sith. Heck, for me, half the game is for the stories and half the game is getting creative with fan fiction, fan art, screenshots, outfits, etc. Edited November 30, 2017 by grania

Tsillah
And when you say you've played some MMOs for "longer", what does "longer" mean in your situation? Some people think 6 months is long and others think more about 6 years. So what is it for you?
