Andryah
A boosted character is locked out of the class story arcs (they essentially autocomplete without any actual credit for doing so). Leveling normally and playing through chapter 3 of your story grants a credit for completing the class story which in turn contributes toward Legendary Status (a perk for completing all 8 classes through their story chapters pre-level-50. If you don't care about that... then a boosted character is a great way to jump right in near to end game. You will get all your skills (though they spoon feed them to you in the first chapter unless you turn off the tutorial), and you get a set of blue gear that will carry you well until something better comes along. That said.. you can level pretty fast now days and almost exclusively through the class story chapters.
DanNV
The best part of the game is the original story through Corelia. The worst part of the game is KOTFE/KOTET, so I wouldn't boost at all, myself.

I used the 60 token last year and ended up deleting the toon. I mean, there's parts of the vanilla stories I find a grind (Hoth for example), but there's just so much more depth than that Kotlmnop snoozefest.. SteveTheCynic
Boosted characters are also locked out of the Shadow of Revan story arcs (Prelude aka Forged Alliances, Shadow of Revan aka Rishi/Yavin, and Rise of the Emperor aka Ziost). Boost-to-65 also locks you out of being able to choose what your character did in KotFE.

Anduhar
A boosted character has their class story, companion conversations, and previous expansion content autocompleted. This is done though default dialog options, usually option 1 I believe, so all of the content is completed as if you actually completed it but with preset choices. You can never go back and do any of this content, including companion conversations. You can never romance class companions with boosted characters and you do not receive any titles you'd normally get from the story. Level 60 boosts put you at the beginning of Fallen Empire with previous expansion / story content completed, whereas level 65 boosts do the same but put you at the beginning on Eternal Throne. With the current story arc of FE / ET, using a boost to go to level 65 will autocomplete all of Fallen Empire. This is something I would never do as it skips half of the current story arc and prevents you from making certain decisions that affect the second half of the story. And leveling from 60-65 isn't that hard anyway. Also, the current story arc of FE / ET ties into previous expansion / story content like Shadow of Revan, Rise of the Emperor, and your class story. All of this stuff is skipped when you boost. This is something you should keep in mind. I'd highly recommend that any new players start at level 1 and play though all the relevant content at their own pace. Since the leveling process was revamped a while back you can level doing only purple missions. These are your class story and planet story arcs. You can definitely choose to skip the planet story arcs if you want to, but you will probably have to fill that in with something else like Heroics or Flashpoints. This makes the leveling process much quicker and easier to get through. Edited January 18, 2017 by Anduhar
Dyhanna
The others are correct in that the class stories are some of the best content in the game. So if you haven't played them, you should play them all. That said, I continue to enjoy the KotFE and KotET stories. I just hate all the trash. There really is too much trash. With all of that said, you can have the best of both worlds with the new Level 70 Boost token available from the cartel market or GTN. It's called a "Master's Datacron". This will boost you to Level 70 without completing any class story. You can start at the begining or start Forged Alliances immediately and play through the Revan prelude story. The only class I'd recommend not skipping the class story for on this line is the Jedi Knight as this story is the most closely related to all expansions and plays like one complete story for that character. The Jedi Knight story is essentially KOTOR 3 all the way through Forged Alliances, Prelude..., and KOTFE / KOTET. It's great work and Bioware has done an excellent job here. Sure, they did a great job at depicting blatant gross stupidity and fatuous optimism through the entirety of Chapter 2 of the base class story. Sonicphoto
While Kotfe/Kotet is the overall best executed and most unique story in the game for force users. I still recommend doing the first class stuff if you really care about the story and development of your character. Of course some people would tell you to death choices don't matter, but they do if you really like the roleplaying and developing the person your character is throughout the stories. And ultimately if you really want to feel like a smuggler, BH in those classes, your best be playing the class story instead. Tokens I only recommend if you want to create an alt for group content, pvp, etc. Or you can just use the master datacron, that boosts you 70 and you can freely do all the stories, no skipping and you can do any group content as well cuz your 70.
