forcee Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 (edited) I believe that these two FPs should have Tactical (veteran modes) easier than hardmode (master mode) and each boss having bacta healing stations nearby. The abilities of many foes would modified in both FPs to make it more accessible. For example in Kaon Under Siege, Bloated Plaguebearers do not explode when killed outright and they can be damaged while pulsating, potentially interrupting their explosion. For example in Lost Island, the Sentinel Droid boss's shock coils drop a bubble more slowly that does less damage. The savrak boss has no enrage time in tactical mode The doctor's throw rakghoul vials have a longer delay. However, I believe in Master Mode Lost Island, the LR-5 Sentinel Droid should receive a change: it should have an enrage timer along with the shock coils. Take too long and the boss and the bubbles do tons more damage and will likely wipe the group in short order. Edited February 19, 2017 by forcee
forcee Posted May 17, 2017 Author Posted May 17, 2017 I also thought of story mode for both Kaon Under Siege and The Lost Island, with bosses being modified to be easy enough for solo play (with companion and GSI droid of course). Mechanics would be modified for most of the bosses and mobs.

I definitely agree with this, new players who don't want to do Hard Mode flashpoints should get the chance to experience the story of these flashpoints.
JediAkemi Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Unless they're sensible enough not to walk into a zombie apocalypse Just kidding... mostly. I hate the Rakghoul flashpoints. I will never go out of my way to do them any more... but I thought there was a solo mode, or am I mis-remembering?

I will never go out of my way to do them any more... but I thought there was a solo mode, or am I mis-remembering? No solo mode and I had a firsthand lesson in why they aren't in the Veteran GF as a healer in a guild group minus a tank. They are balanced for a trinity group when level synced up and become painful otherwise- we got through, it just wasn't much fun because we honestly needed a tank and we were between 60-70 between us. They'd need too much redesign to enter GF without becoming a more reviled pop than Blood Hunt.
JediAkemi Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 On the one hand, part of me wants to do the Kaon, and Lost Island HMs (most likely with guildmates) to see if I still can... but a much, much larger part of me would rather stick pins in my eyes than ever go near any of the zombie apocalypse content again.

inCelesphere Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 +1 Add to Veteran Group Finder please.
HuaRya Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 These are probably the best two Flashpoints ever made and it's a shame people are blocked from this content along with Colocoid Wargames. All three are brilliantly designed when Bioware Austin was going 100% into SWTOR.
Damask_Rose Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Back in the day, before level sync was a thing, these were my favorite flashpoints. I really miss being able to solo them in the Halloween pre-season.
