Constantious
Is there Currently or an plans on providing a data feed for SWTOR Guild Website Developers that will provide the guilds info including but not limited to: Guild Characters info/Roster (Name, Level, Class, Profession), Guild OPS Progression, etc., etc.. ? This is pretty important to a lot of Guilds it especially helps to organize Guild Events / Operations and would give us a clear view of Class Needs. Maybe something like an XML Export of data once every 24 hours ? We could then import that data into our sites using SQL, MySQL or however else the said developer seems fit to incorporate the data into his/hers website. This would be extremely helpful ! An Example of games that provide this data: Everquest II, WOW, lord of The Rings online.
dr_mike
Has been asked for many times and staff has stated previously that this is not something they're interested in providing. If you use the Search Community feature and search for API, you should see a fair amount of previous discussion on the topic. There have been other threads about a so-called "SWTOR API" (Application Programming Interface) and so far the devs just don't care to bother. sigh (as is the case with most things around here). Constantious
How very Sad as I can't see it being an entirely huge hassle for them to do. Doesn't even need to be an API. could be a simple Data dump from specific tables in their Database into an xml format, or CSV for that matter that we could import. Um, there was a data dump a very long time ago and we're getting into an area that's now considered to be a nono crash and burn topic around here. Seriously. Use the search. Your topic is already on thin ice around here. Take the hint.
