Game dying or just the server?

I just started playing SWTOR a couple of days ago. Started right away as a premium player to try out the full SWTOR experience. I chose Tomb of Freedon Nadd because it said it was a PVP server and the only english PVP server in EU.

As a subscriber I got my lvl 65 character and played it up to lvl 70 and now I want to PVP, but where is the PVP and where are the players? I can walk around endlessly for hours and not even meet a single player. And even the PVP Warzone may take 3-4 hrs maybe even more before I get in. Even walking around at the Imperial Fleet there is almost no players. If BioWare wants to save this game they need to merge some servers now, before too many stop playing. There is no use in playing on a PVP-server when there is no PVP what so ever. What BioWare does not seem to understand is that with this extremely low populated lonely servers, people will stop playing this game because of the low population. And once a player move on to another MMO they're gone and they're gone for good. It will take extremely much effort for BioWare to win back earlier customers once they found a new game they enjoy.

Bio Ware does not seem to understand what MMO stands for. The first M is for Massively, and there is nothing massively about the player base in SWTOR. Unless news about Server merges comes within the next couple of weeks then this was my first and last month of subscription and I am surely not the first leaving because of the low population and I will for sure not be the last either. They are killing their own game with two many servers. German, French and English does not need their own servers. They can merge them to one. It is better to have a german player in the game that I do not understand what is saying then no player at all as it is now. This is a single player game now, and there are many much better single player games out there.

As u re here, so are some others. Not enough for server to be "alive", so yea you can say its "dead". But if you join few active guilds, you can still do group stuff. Pvp is regular from 6pm-9pm. Sometimes even before 6pm or after 9pm. :D

For ops part, Airy is someone you wanna have on contact list, or in her guild. She organize ops run almost daily.

Or transfer to more populated server, that is alive, which would be tre.

Cheers.

Hi and welcome to this dying game.

Sorry to bring you the bad news, but since youre new, ill try to be brief. There are soooo many things i could tell you on why the game is dying but ill only indicate a few things, which you have seen yourself.

You said the server had a PVP description, whats silly is that there are no more PVP servers as we have the PVE/PVP instances so every server is a PVP if u go into that instance (which effectively killed world PVP). There you can see the laziness of the Devs not even removing that tag of the server!! What happened was they introduced cheap server transfers which made people move to The Red Eclipse since TOFN was dying already. They probably hoped that new ppl wont know about the server status and will fill the dead servers but not sure if they are that stupid.

At start there were over 100 servers, now we have 5-6 active ones. Game is dying no just the server, you can easily judge by reading forums or the EA quarterly reports and looking at the actions the Devs are taking. They put gear behind the subscription wall, removed CM passes for ops etc forcing people to sub if they want this stuff. Gear grind is really "eternal" where the Devs proably hope people are stupid enough to be subbed for years so they can grind gear in this totally alt-unfriendly system.

Well people seem to know better, such a huge subscription decline must hurt!

Well the server is even worse, on right now and there is 3 people fleet side rep ..and wait checking imp side, well there was 1 on Nar Shaddaa (me as that's where my stronghold is) and 14 on fleet inc me.

If BW were not so greedy they would merge servers, for the good of their customers, but as they such greed ***** (starts with a * ends with a s) they will rather try squeeze the 90cc from people first.

to stay on that server, speccially for a new player is the wrong decision - he should go for TRE - and start to have some fun. yes its a bummer that new players are not aware of it.

also for those who stubbornly keep there, theres nothing that can be done - bw isnt merging servers so soon, thats for sure - so move ur arses. ps: i went for TRE shortly after 3.0 hit live, when servers were "blooming", and i did remade all my SH there, and bought a capital ship - its so freekin easy to make creds on this game that with some dedication, that population problem can be left behind ;) yes, they could merge servers, but i doubt they will endeavour sucha a task..u get the picture ;)
