Anduhar Posted January 15, 2017 Share Posted January 15, 2017 (edited) A boosted character has previous content such as your class story, companion conversations, and expansions autocompleted. It uses default dialog options (I believe option 1 usually) for conversations. So its as if you actually completed the content yourself except with preset options. You miss out on companion romances for class companions and you cannot obtain titles that you'd normally get from doing your class story (as well as other skipped content I think). The current story arc of Fallen Empire and Eternal Throne builds upon previous story content like your class story, Shadow of Revan, and Rise of the Emperor. I don't think the actual decisions you make in previous content has a big effect on the current story arc (FE / ET) aside from some conversation tangents. So in general, as far as story is concerned, I don't think it matters much whether a character is boosted or not. The main thing you should consider is whether or not you want to play through the previous content yourself. If you don't, then like I said, you miss out on romances and titles and the experience of playing through it. If you're newish and haven't actually done the previous content I mentioned at all, then I highly recommend not using a boost and play through the previous content (class story / Shadow of Revan / Rise of the Emperor) before starting Fallen Empire / Eternal Throne. Once you've done it at least once, then you know the full story and can skip it on other characters if you want.
