KevWanCarib Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 (edited) TL;DR version: reduce the cost of all GSF upgrades 66% across the board. This will increase GSF participation and make matches more competitive. I'd like to see the same philosophy that was used for PVP gear in v3.3 applied to GSF. GSF currently has way too long of a gear grind to gear up your ship, and it's really not fun going up against mastered ships when you start out. I believe a lot of people starting out in GSF see what a grind it will be to gear up their ship decently and just give up on it. Having a faster gearing path should increase GSF participation and make matches more competitive because we'll have less of a huge gearing imbalance between ships. Toraak Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 The grind isn't that bad. it takes less then 2 weeks to master a ship in GSF. the problem for new GSF players is, they do not know what components are viable. For example: the Novadive/blackbolt comes stock with Rapid Fire Lasers, These need to be replaced with a different primary weapon ASAP. New players would not know this of course and would just keep upgrading the worst Primary weapons in GSF.

Toraak Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 (edited) No clue, I've never counted how many I do on a daily basis. on average however you should get 700 ship req when you don't have the bonus, and around 1500-2,000 if you do have your daily bonus). At the most (without counting your daily bonus ship wreck) you should be done in 200 matches, which really isn't much. The more important thing however is that within those 150-200 matches your getting the one thing that really matters in GSF, Experience. Even if they gave every player fully mastered ships from the start, the experienced pilots would still Wreck the new pilots because experience is more important then Upgrades.
