Crew skills, light/dark side point

Hi,

 

So my crew skills some times align to the "wrong" light or dark side yield. Is there any in-game action of my playing which effects this? can someone please explain it to me?

Have you set each of your character's LS/DS alignment?

If you get DS when you want LS, you use your net LS score to determine your LS rank. That DS score will remain until you get max LS and than DS will be lowered until you have no DS.
