Stealag Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 (edited) I play on windows 10 and the resolution 1920x1080 but my monitor is on 1280x800 1920x1080 does not fit my screen but when i try to change the resolution on swtor it goes black and when the picture returns the graphics are horrible and the menus are all over the place please help!! Try setting graphics to very low and restarting the game, if it don't work, go to File Explorer > C: > Program Filesx86 > Electronic Arts > BioWare > Star Wars - The Old Republic. Then, scroll down to where you see "swtor", it WILL say "Application" next to it. Right click it and click properties, then go to "Compatibility", and make sure you click "Run in 640x480 Screen Resolution." click apply, restart the game. Than fix your resolution to how you want it, go back and do everything again, uncheck 640x480 and restart the game and see if it works. That's the best I can tell you. Also, to fix the menus how you want them in game, press esc and go to interface editor, in there you can change all the menus to how you want them, scale them, and move them. I'd recommend an interface you are comfortable with. Don't forget to name it (if you wanna) and save it (required) and on your quickbar there should be a button above the little plus sign, click it and it'll bring up your saved interfaces, click your saved interface to use it. RocCart Posted January 1, 2017 Author Posted January 1, 2017 this did not work but thanks for your help
Adric_the_Red Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Exit completely out of the game. Hold down the windows key + R. Type in %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings and hit enter. Open the client_settings.ini file. Check that the entries for NativeHeight = #### NativeWidth = #### Height = #### Width = #### match your monitor. Make any changes necessary, and save the file. Restart your game.
