rigidd Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Hello, I was looking for some guidance on boss mechanics and how I should approach them. I always read how entrench can avoid damage, but I don’t understand how / when I should be using it to avoid exiting cover. Does this mean I should not exit cover and get out of the circles? When I am in movement heavy fights I have a difficult time keeping DPS on target and was wondering if I was doing it wrong.
verfallen Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 (edited) it gives 60% AoE damage reduction if you take the utility for it, but there are many mechanics you still got to get out of even with that. for the most part, you'll use covered escape to quickly move around. There is a utility called seek cover which gives you a movement boost and immunity to movement imparing effect for 6 second after leaving cover if you have entrench active, can be useful in some fights as well. Re-establish range could also be used to have mobility on counter-measure, but I think its probably more of a pvp build. You might take one of the two, and I'd take seek cover personnaly. Otherwise the exit reenter cover is used mostly for re-activating ballistic dampers, or using snap shot, but I personnaly dont use that one. Edited December 30, 2016 by verfallen
rigidd Posted December 30, 2016 Author Posted December 30, 2016 thank you, i was misunderstanding some info. i thought we had something similar to a merc's hydrolic overide, that can negate damage of some aoe because of the movement immunity.
